The automatic start/stop can be added to a shortcut as mentioned here. Once that is done, a dash at the very top right of the screen can be touched to reveal the shortcut and the note “deactivate once”. Click on that note and “deactivate” changes to “activate”. The gearing remains unchanged, unlike the second method below. A simpler method is when you shift the gear selector to D, push it again and it switches to L. In gear L the start/stop function is deactivated. Also, the car changes shift points to use lower gears.
It's about the efficiency / extra range that you gain in the efficient mode compared to the standard mode. E.g. through coasting on the highway (engine decouples/clutch opens when your foot is taken off the gas pedal). Best /CR
question for anyone who lives/works near I-95 from Maine all the way down to Florida: when was the last time you saw the 2023 BMW X1(U11) on the road?(except at dealerships, of course) Thanks!
Great tips! Any idea, how to tilt the driver wing mirror when reversing for the new X1. Currently only the passenger wing mirror tilts when reversing (right hand drive car!) Thanks in advance.
Cool tricks. I have problem with the profile I already set. After three or four days, all configs in profile that I set already, remove and reset to the factory one with our no reason
Does anyone really hate the gearbox on these? I have just ordered one and pick it up in a couple of days but have heard the gearbox has a lot of lag off the line. I am not going to drive this thing hard, I want more comfort but am a bit worried that the gearbox is not smooth?
The lag was there initially. I think they did a software update on it, but I have not retested it. I would go def test it and test it mostly in the Comfort mode.
Yes. The double-clutch transmission is rough. The stop to go lag time is less noticeable in Sport mode but it is there . The X3 is 100 times better in every way. I regretted not buying another X3.
I have mixed feelings about the whole "convenience unlock" stuff. It's convenient-but it also adds a whole new way to steal a car from your driveway unless you keep your keys in a metal box. BMW do say "the keys only talk to the car when mobile", but it's still a needless risk. I'm going to get it on my iX1 when it arrives -but only because there are other things in the package (folding mirrors) we actually want
As I have one of the older x1 I love them but this new style interior a lot looks like it’s been an after thought, this new style will make or brake the selling point I certainly won’t be buying the new one Bmw have totally spoilt it it with the nag interior
Very very helpful. Thank you !

True. Good idea
Useful. Thanks
what about the glove box light?
Very cool! Most of these are already in the 7 Series, but I didn't know X1 had some of these as well!
Some of them are. Yes
Thanks mate, some very cool tips I wasn’t aware of. We finally collect our new X1 Jun 01….
Glad it helped
@@bmwblog how intuitive is the BMW Drive Recorder?
Should I supplement it with a dashcam?
Hi there thank you for
Your video I lneeded the tip about the wipers . Question where are you located? Are you a bmw employee?
Hey got a question, in efficient mode the car show’s regenerative braking and added range what is that all about cuz I know my X1 is not hybrid one

hi can you tell me how you have set the chirp sound when you lock and unlock. i can't seem to find it

Saw one the other day on I95 down here in Miami
Any tips for spare tires? The Run flats suck when you need to get to a far shop to get OEM tires 😢

The driver one doesn't tilt
Very nice❤
Very curious to see price of electric version in Thailand
I see a bunch of stuff that will be expensive to repair if (read: when) it goes wrong.
Do we need all this to drive?
That's the story with all new cars
There are many other cars you can buy just to drive
Can x1 have live view on dashboard and show AR?
Good question. Need to test it

Weird maybe ask your Car seller
How do you get the voice activated? For bmw to roll window down
What car do you have? It should work for cars with iDrive 8+
Whot is price
Wonder how to close back mirrors automatically when i close the car
Some cars need a special package for it. Not sure about the X1
It's in the door lock & unlock settings. You can set it

how to adjust your rear seat BMW X1 2023
You forget telling the start and stop engine from remote control
Yes. But doesn't work in all markets
Unfortunatly, i dont have the first two options

It's not available in all countries
The walk away/approach feature has been a feature since elite the early 2000s lol
If only dealers weren't asking 580 plus a month for a lease on a 45K vehicle.

Korean and Chinese cars has those years ago, finally BMW is catching on, I wonder how much it costs to add these features 🤣
It's built on a MINI Countryman platform. The seven speed dual clutch is a bad transmission too.
It's def a tricky gearbox. It has its downsides
Yes. I bought one and the transmission is clunky. Sometimes it doesn’t move for 2 seconds from stop to go. Very annoying !
@@CcwuhccwuhI only got it when I drive in Efficient Mode
