You finally made it to my home town! I'm from the Annapolis Valley but have been in the Halifax area most of my adult life if I was living in Canada. Glad to see you made it to John's lunch for fish and chips. There are dozens of places you can get fish and chips that I'd be proud to present. The Halifax waterfront is a wonderful way to spend a morning or day for visitors and locals alike. Bicycle Thief restaurant is my favorite restaurant of all time. Food is spectacularly good! And donairs too! Man, you really packed in the Halifax experience all in one day. Glad you had a good time! Thanks for sharing!!
Love this vid! I’m from the Annapolis valley and love seeing others enjoy the area. Also, good call on not putting ketchup on the Donair… the whole province would have been after you hahahah. Cheers!
FYI. John's lunch is no more, land sold to a developer. But fret not, just down the road is Pleasant St. Diner and they are just as good if not better (some of the staff from John's Lunch). Next time you must have clams. Sorry to say, the farmers market has moved several in past few years, it lost its charm, but the brewery market (the original ) is still there and still has its charm. The donair sauce is, can milk, vinegar and sugar.
The beaver tail originates from the village of Killaloe in the Ottawa Valley. It's been a staple of Ottawa's winter festival, Winterlude since the 70's, but now a thing everywhere in Canada.
From Halifax originally but haven't lived there in years. Super rad you guys went yo Atlantic Canada. Love your channel and it's helped me in the past with different destinations. Best surf is Lawrence Town Beach but in January or February. Also Congratulations on the super adorable kid. Cheers!
The Maritimes is the most hoslem place you'll ever be. The rest of canada is like America. Glad you guys had a great time. Surf Lawrence Town Beach but only in the winter.
Well guys we just finished the third video and we have enjoyed each. Impressed by your little travel buddy how cooperative he is lol. Only issue is now I'm starved lol.
Gosh, I wish I had known you guys were going to be here! We could have had you over for dinner at our house! Hope you enjoy3d your trip the Maritime’s! You will have to come back as there are some really cool places ya missed! LOL. Evans Fish and Chips is on the Dartmouth Waterfront and awesome!
Halifax is Great place born and raised. I’m 24 But sadly just in last 10years the province was not planing on 300,000 people to move here. So job and career opportunities not great Unless you know someone 😉 and 1 bedroom no Utilities 1800$ and that’s probably gonna be the case until all the new apartments and houses are built. 300,000 people + does not seem like a lot but for a place that had population of 800,000 was not prepared for 1,150,000 people
All the Atlantic provinces have donairs. It’s more popular in Halifax because of the amount of college student that go to school there. It’s kinda an after bar food. Probably not the food of choice if you’re over 40 but want to have a 20 year old body. I stopped eating them in my late 20s.😀
there is much better then johns lunch in this city. They went down hill after they broke up in two different business called pleasant street diner. But there is also Sams Seafood who receives fresh fish right off the boat @ 630 am every day and his portions are huge and prices are way cheaper. And welcome to donairs but cheese umm no just tom, onions and donair sauce and tony's is pretty good. And it's always best to leave the tinfoil on other wise you will be a sticky mess because the sauce breaks down thinner and drips like crazy.
Good to see you back on the board dude! 🏄👍 The most entertaining vlog of the new season so far! It had all your best elements.. outdoor adventure sport, food, shopping, sight seeing and personal interaction... 👍 Kraft tater sauce!👎 Maple 🍁fudge! 👍👍 Blueberry cinnamon bun! 👍
I have a pretty good metabolism but you two must have the ability to burn calories like kindling wood. I think Id be a diabetic after one trip with you two? 🤣

Damn every vlogger that goes to Halifax gets themselves a Tony's donair. Out here in Calgary, makes me miss those Tony's donairs so much more.

Fish and Chips are so good! Don't Dilly Dally on the ice tonight 😉
Oh no please no ketchup on a donair 😮 You must try a donair here in Pictou county. Acropole Pizza has some of the best!

Donairs are the best food
John's Lunch has been so overrated for so long. Nice drone footage of our city.
Thanks for Driving Right though Cape Breton. ( Cape Breton Island has been ranked #1 Island in Canada in Travel + Leisure's World's Best Awards )
Would have loved to visit Cape Breton, but traveling with a 4 month old we didn't want to push it with him in the car seat all day.
Good to see you back on the board dude! 🏄👍
