I don’t have 8k to spend on an optic set up, I need to spend 7k on a rifle too. Lol

Great job on showing the different set ups on spotting scopes and Binoculars and the case's.
    What replaced the 1204 tripod?
Thank You for all the great videos
    You have a blessed day

The closest thing we have currently to the 120xl might be the SLIK SF 634 or the T-024SK but that one is a smidgen shorter.

@@trailkreitzer9163 I am really enjoying the SLIK 634 Cody sold me this year which was an upgrade to a 10 year old SLIK I had that was for sitting only. It's nice to have the 634 for those steeper sloped glassing spots where one or two of the legs of the tripod are a good 12-16" below you. My older SLIK wasn't tall enough with everything extended for those situations.

Brady when packing I'd disconnect the BTX from the objective so as to reduce the overall length of that long beam therefore making it much less susceptible to bending forces and potential damage should you drop your pack or fall etc. That quarter turn lock joint is strong but you don't want to test it. (Yes I realize you never fall just say'n.)

It's pronounced sir-eh fyl, pro tip: if your bino tether annoys you just use one side, it's way handier and still leaves you insurance incase of dropping.

Nice review guys. Very helpful. Nice how you can quick switch from binocs to spotter so quick.
I’m looking to upgrade from Leupold SX-1, 15-45x 60 to possibly the Leupold SX-5 27-55x80 for elk. Do you find that the Swaro spotters of similar features are worth the jump in price over the Leupold ? Really don’t want to make a mistake and I’d rather keep stashing money if the quality is that much better. Appreciate any advice. Thank You!

I had this same scenario last hunting season. I broke my SX-1 80mm and I decided to go with the SX-5 80mm. I have been very happy with it, not sure the swaro can be that much better to justify the price difference. By the way I sent my 10 year old SX-1 into Leupold that I broke in half trying to force it into a bag to small and they sent me a brand new one free of charge.

In my opinion, the Swaro is the better glass. It's brighter, more clear edge to edge, and for me colors pop a bit more. It's hard to say if it's worth the extra money for you, for me it is. I use my optics a lot and hunting for me is something I value highly. I can tell you that I have never bought a pair of "high end" optics and regretted it.

Thank you for the honest assessment on the Swaro glass. I have a pair of Leica 10x50’s BN’s? 20 yrs old and never been sorry I broke the vault on those. Money is a bit harder to come by now, but I agree with your perspective. I’ll keep stashing cash.
Btw, I really like your more quiet, focused and humble demeanor in the front of the camera on video. I get the feeling many think they have to entertain and joke around at every point, it’s tiresome. I’m a listener and a learner and personally like the teaching part, like with this video and see it put into practice in the field. Someday I’ll down my first archery elk, still chipping away at 60. All the best to you and Brady!

Does Brady leave the vortex uni adapter on all the time? And would he for 10x’s?
