🇰🇭| BEST island South East Asia| FULL TOUR: Koh Rong, Cambodia 2024

- I’m able to show you around the island of Koh Rong in the south of Cambodia. After a few days on the island, I found out that Koh Rong is one of the, if not THE most beautiful island in South East Asia. I’m talking about the whitest beaches and the island vibes. It is just one of a kind. Let me take you on a full tour of the island. After seeing this video you have a pretty good idea of what the island has to offer.
My favorite part of the island is the south coast as it’s more lively, and the West coast as it has the whitest beaches.

@@Iceyfire12 you are so crazy of what you say. I never thought of racism of anyone. I just express my point of view to the country I wish to visit. And who are you dare to say me bad ? Crazy person you are.
There is no need development there. It is already good. Most people do not want it to look like a city but a serene real island life.
I know there are many beautiful beaches around the world, however the beaches in Koh Rong (Rong Island) is surely among the most beautiful beaches with white sand.
My country 🇰🇭
That’s it mate🏆
Sihanouk ville before the Chinese is just the same vibe as the island. my mum has a restaurant on independent beach, we didn't make lots of money from westerners but we were happy to serve.
Yes Sihanouk ville Before 2015 is just like the island vipe. I hop Koh will not be come like Sihabouk ville in the next 10 years.
My first time traveling there was in 1998. I was on the way to Phnom Penh via Sihanoukville from Trat/Hat Lek. The water was bathtub clear, the sand was white and the foliage was deep green. There was little more than a fishing village at the time.
Nice! Things has changed a bit :) it’s still a great place to be I reckon 😃 thanks for watching 🏆
Koh Rong is the most beautiful white sand beach. We been there in January 2024. We loved it, definitely will go back again. Highly recommended, words can’t describe and do it’s justice. Need to be there in person to experience it.
Aw haha yeah that’s true. Even a video can’t either. Thanks for watching
Koh Rong never can go wrong! Great Island, mutch better than Texel ;)
Haha you can’t Koh Rong mate :p haha very different I’d say 🤪 Texel on a nice summer day is very nice too! Groetjes!
Thank you Chai for sharing the extraordinary tour of that paradise of Koh Rong island. Wonderful destination in Cambodia.👍
Ey, my pleasure mate 😃 it’s truly a beautiful island. Hopefully they’re able to keeping in clean from rubbish in the future.
Chai, you are really nailing this walk about activity man., intermingled with the odd chat with locals and tourists alike and a bit of drone activity. This video is unrushed too and a very comfortable watch over 34 minutes. Throw in plenty of relevant information via sub titles which is a great idea and overall I guess not too much editing involved. I absolutely loved this one. Good on you champ. Fantastic promotion for the island. Wayne is currently in KL maybe he watches this and makes a beeline for Cambodia 🍻🤩
Cheers Steven! Haha yeah I’ve noticed he’s there! Good on him. I hope he loves is there🤩 🍻

I been to that island many many years ago that time only local people and a few foreigners. Give my suggestion to whom ever in charge of the developing the island. Build a water airport. Have plane lands on water it give an island vibe.
Royal Group will also have seaplane for this island
@@vannakkh964 consider having a wall out in the sea that will protect all the Khmer islands from high ocean wave. Where I live we have ocean wall and we also have an island. The island here is very expensive.
@@vannakkh964 okay forget about the sea wall it probably will cost too much . The sea wind is good to make electricity by install many big Wind Turbines. Wind turbines are green energy and can also attract visitors as well producing electricities.
I’ve been there lately. The beaches were really good, the sand is white, and the water is transparent and clear. I really loved that place
New subscriber, thanks for sharing your Koh Rong adventure. From Washington USA…
Welcome to this channel 😁 good to know Washington USA is watching 🫡 I hope to show you more beautiful sports in SEA :)
@@Chai_Travel looking forward to them👍👍👍

Koh Rong is very beautiful and so understated. Thank you for the tour, Chai!😅
It really is! Thanks for watching 🙂
I've been to Koh Rong a few times in the past 10 years. It's changed so much, and the change is gonna supercharge once that airport is finished.
Hopefully it remains its original beauty:)
Thanks from Cambodia 🇰🇭🇰🇭❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
I plan to go Koh Rong next month
Nice! You’d love it 😍
January - April best season Trip island in Cambodia because now Raining Season 🙏🙏🙏
Atta boy! Wearing a hat finally. Thank goodness KR is still under developed. Thank you so much for your beautiful exposure for this beautiful young developing country that desperately needs tourism. Well done my man. Look up Shinta Mani and Tatai area. Trust me.
Haha thanks! I feel the positive energy in your words! I’ll have a look now! Thanks for the tip mate 😃

Thanks for watching 🙏🏆 ❤️
@@Chai_Travel
Your very welcome 🙏🌺🇰🇭💜
I've been to Koh Rong Samloem twice . It's the " sister island", the one less developed ( at least til a few years ago!)and smaller one. It was a really stunning, relaxing and peaceful island! We really loved it so much. Everything you need is just a couple of steps away.
Cambodia is so underestimated, which, actually,is better for us tourists. Less crowd means less spoiled and more authentic! Thinking, thanxs to your video of going back..again😅
Nice! Yeah Samloem is still less developed though there is a ferry now and I’m sure there will be more development in the future:) aw thank YOU for watching 😊
Can see some issues with it becoming a fully blown tourist place in a short period of time hence why the airport is progressing slowly and such. Getting there requires some effort (as you probably know). Then if the airport opened it would probably be domestic flights coming in initially (I remember when they opened the airport in Koh Samui Thailand over 20 years ago and it was the same thing). There are alot of competing places like it, which are a bit more developed and more interesting for high paying international tourists (Phu Quoc in Vietnam comes to mind). So I suspect the money to pay for the airport will come along as the island develops and they can see some return on the money in a shorter period of time. But yes, beautiful beaches and a great vibe.
Was lucky enough to be on Koh Samui in ’80 as a teenager, so if anyone is considering a visit to Koh Rong ya better hurry! Cheers
I don't know Lok Lak is from Vietnam. It would be nice to know how long it's been in Vietnam.
Very beautiful beach and also white sand
Beautiful beaches. Paradise. Come on people don't pollute the environment. Dispose garbage in receptacles.
Love your video! Keep it coming
Hello Chai , from Cambodian.

Hey champ! Thanks for this great video. My best island yet is Koh Chang. But i'm definitely gonna give Koh Rong a chance
Ey champ! Thanks! Aw yeah Koh Chang is beautiful too 😍 Koh Rong is very different. I hope you make it out here beautiful the airport is built as it will change the island drastically:) 🏆
Thanks so much man
I can tell you how many Cambodian can go around the island like you…. Just a few… including me man
You are amazing man thanks for this video. Incredible 🙏
Haha that’s so nice of you! Thanks, you sound like amazing person yourself 😃
Thank you so muchs ❤ Cambodia beautiful ❤
Thank you too for watching 😊
Thank you for sharing the most beautiful beach, Love from Cambodia ❤
Wow! This is surely one of the most beautiful islands I've seen! ❤
I think all beaches should be public. I do like that you found an empty beach.
Many empty beaches on this island:) hopefully that stay this way 😊
Thank for share this beautiful video. I would love to visit this island in 2025. Keep up the great work!
Thanks :) I’m trying. Hopefully you make it over next year 🤩
Good place chai
Thank for coming to Cambodia Chai travel ❤
Thank you for watching
Growing up in Cambodia, I didn't appreciate how nice our beaches are until I visited beaches overseas.
Wait to see your next video about kohrong

this is very beautiful place! As a Japanese, I would like you to come to Okinawa because it is also very beautiful!
I’d love to go there one day. I’m only making content in South East Asia but maybe we can go there on holiday 😍
Welcome to Cambodia
I was there 8 years ago. The island has changed quite a bit, but I hope it’ll continue to develop in harmony with nature and maintain its peacefulness as I experiences before.
Thanks Chai for ur video
I hope so too! Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 🤗
Love your video ❤ Cambodian love you
Thank you
Thanks for visit Cambodia
But January _ April best season for Trip Island in Cambodia
We went there with our 2 little toddlers 6 years ago. It was absolutely breathtaking!! We went in the water for a good 150 yards out to sea and my toddlers can still stand up to their waist areas. The water temperature was heavenly like bath water…we were so spoiled, compared to California ocean temperatures and Lake Tahoe water temperatures 🥶. Good to know it still looks about the same. We plan to return soon for another week stay like last time. Beautiful hidden paradise!! ❤❤❤
I would recommend another island called Koh Rong Somlem, if you like being in the peaceful and quiet place there are two beaches there: the first one is Sunset beach and another is Lazy beach. I was staying at KAMAKU Bungalows. The sunset view is amazing.
Koh rong

is long beach a private beach or local for swimming? This Beach is didńt known yet. The water and the color looks great perfect for a swim.
Now i have a Plan to come back to Koh Rong
Good one you Saskia. Most of Long Beach is not private at this very moment 😍
Very beautiful… usually TH-camrs prefer Kih Rong Ssleam. They show trash and dirty water. Thanks, it was not on list to visit. Now, I will try to visit soon.
Nice one 🙂 you won’t regret going to either one of those. Cheers
Cambodia love u
I love Cambodia 😊
This has the vibes of what Otres beach was like. Are you going to checkout Koh Ring Samloen?
That’s it 😎 it’s still exists. Not on this trip :) but I’d love to go back later this year or next year

how long do you recommend doing koh rong? tbh i'm actually half cambodian lol but i've never been to an island, same with my mum. we are already going to kampot, so we can easily get to kep beach as well which is nearby. not sure if i should just go to rabbit island during the day. my main goal is actually to see bioluminescent sea really, but this reminds me of sihanoukville back when i was little (without all the developments and the construction sites)
we're all adults now though so is it appropriate for me and my parents? i dont think they'd be pleased with young travellers lmao
Haha yeah I’m sure your parents will love it too. I’d stay 3nights if you’re able to. 2 nights on the “busy” part in the south. And 1 nights east of west cost (west is more white but more expensive). I hope it helps 🙏
There are two variations, Luk Lac which is the Cambodian version and Bo Luc Lak, a Vietnamese version. In Vietnamese Bo means beef and luc lac means shaking, it is cooked in a wok so this is also known as shaking beef.
In Cambodia, shaking beef is known as lok lak or loc lac (Khmer: ឡុកឡាក់) and often considered a national dish even though the dish originated in Vietnam. The original lok lak uses high-quality steak cut into cubes and pan-seared in French butter which stems from Indochina's French colonial past, while a simpler version influenced by Chinese culinary techniques uses cheap cuts of beef and Chinese oyster sauce.
Shaking beef or bo luc lac (Vietnamese: bò lúc lắc, French: bœuf lôc lac) is a Vietnamese dish that consists of beef sauteed with cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, pepper, and soy sauce. The beef is cut into small cubes the size of playing dice (hột lúc lắc) before being sauteed. Beef used to be a luxury ingredient; the dish was therefore mostly served at formal events, such as wedding banquets and anniversaries, although now it has become a common food. Before French colonization, cows were only used for manual labour and were working animals.
Thank you for your explanation:)
Do I need any kind of permit to fly a drone in Cambodia? Can I bring drones into Cambodia?
No worries to bring it. Though be careful. Do not fly at Angkor Wat, Phnom Penh. Most places are fine. Please do a bit more research on Google before you come over :)
$450 for an unknown location and not as luxurious as it would cost to pay as much as a premium, fully-equipped lodging. Places to rest, restaurants, drinking places, and various activities. So I'm not surprised that I didn't see any tourists in this place.😂😁🤣
I don’t understand why you think this is so funny

Yes Koh Rong is a paradise for those who love white sand beaches. In my book amongst the best in the world.
Cambodia have white sand mountain near sihanoukville far way 65km , but this mountain government sell to private company, and continued sell to Thailand company, 200$ million.
I didn’t know
Great Video Lad! I Sure Hope The Chineses Dont Do Anything..
Thank you🙏
There are many places to visit more beauty than Koh Rong in Cambodia
I see. How about a more beautiful island than Koh Rong? 😊
Lok lak's food related from under French colony not from Vietnam, most Vietnamese are copied from Cambodia, also language too.
🇰🇭🙏
still beautiful, but i am afraid when airport is ready this island will be occupied by fancy resorts and prices will go to sky....
Your name Chai like Khmer name 😍
Lok Lak is original Cambodian cuisine. It's not from VN.
I think cause Lok Lak came from the word bò lúc lắc which mean beef stir and shake.
ឡុកឡាក់របស់យួនត្រូវហើយបង យើងត្រូវសិក្សាឱ្យសុីជម្រៅ
