Rear Brake MOD - NO MORE LOOP OUTS

  • I learned I can put a rear break stopper adjuster even in the stock rear brak pedal to keep it from having so much free play. I had to drill out a hole and add a $1 bolt from the hardware store, but this cheap fix is well worth it. If the pedal is weakened and brakes I have extra. This helps with rotating foot over to cover the rear brake when holding pressure. I'd like for this to become automatic so I'm drilling it over and over.

Interesting I overcame this issue myself. I added a spring to return the brake pedal to the fully up position. I’d seen this on some other brands of bike and adapted it to my scorpa. The spring runs from the brake pedal to the frame, I also find it gives more feel to the rear brake which is a bonus.

Thanks. The practice on my wall is really helping. It's a lot of fun, but obstacle riding is different than your everyday trials event. Lol. Still need lots of work keeping my feet up 😉

Pretty impressive split, lol. Seriously though, love the progress you're making.

Did you see when I got up, I was looking around to see if my family saw me go down? 🤣. Thinking to myself - I hope nobody saw that. My daughter was in the background.
Thanks man, it's been a fun ride and neat to share with so many viewers.

One tip, you dont need to have the feet away from the rear bread, you can simple have it on top, not aplaying force, so when you need it you have it instantly.hope it helps.

Thanks. It's very hard for me to jump once the bike is at that 45° angle and NOT use my toes to push down as I jump. I did a freeze frame where my feet would be applying the brake at that angle at 14 seconds in. I may try to do these while covering the rear brake again, but it didn't work for me previously. Is your rear brake tip well below even with the root pegs? Mine is just slightly below.

    Another great video. 👍
Here’s a radical thought…….swap the rear brake to be operated from the front brake lever, and have the front brake operated from the foot brake?

Thanks 👊 That is a radical idea 🤷 however rear wheel hops and other manuvers probably couldn't happen.
