This entire episode left me with the confirmation on how I've felt about the series. It's so utterly beautiful to see these themes being played out on understanding the nuances of relationships. Not only with others but with themselves too. To see this kind of growth fully explored is magnificent. I'm learning and also being validated at the same time as I watch this series.
It is a tale of two broken people, gradually mending each other and walking down an unseen path they both trip on, but are always there to help each other stand back up.
Watching this episode for the first time gave me a similar confirmation, however to a philosophy I've been building upon from my own experiences. Admittedly I had a bit of a tear because now, someone else who is on the other side of the world from me, placed this piece of knowledge in a medium that reaches across the world. It I feel a deep solace in this, that others feel the same way outside my own sphere of influence.
I'd describe them as two tiny dim lights in an empty void that happened to find each other... And that's why it doesn't really matter to them how other people view and judge them.
I've been waiting years for this scene, and I'm in literal tears watching it animated😭😭 the fact these two find a way to express their feelings to each other despite the "unusual" nature of their relationship, them wanting to be together no matter what, it makes my heart so full😭💕 I have never seen so much care being given to two characters, so much depth into building their relationship. Incredible

What should matter is what they represent to us, who might appear in your mind when you read them or talk out loud. It helps him better adapt to understanding and living amongst other people. It’s not really that sad because he didn’t have emotions established in the first place.

Also, I heard that Chise likes his real self (skull) better than the fake human looks does he does, so if anything, she’d probably rather kiss the skull. But either way - I hope we get another kiss some day
I'd like to see him kissing her in the form of the Waifu that he usually assumes, or he blonde, even though they're other people's forms it's still him, of course what matters is soul but he doesn't have lips to kiss in the shape of a skull LOL

Besides the title of the anime being questionable, there's no grooming in this relationship. From the very first episode Elias told Chise she's free to do whatever she wants and can leave. She chose to stay because she needed meaning and purpose in her life.
Well... if you remember that he is not actually human, and doesnt even think like a human, he calling her his "bride" makes more sense (also, on a recent episode, they revealed that the whole marriage concept is sonething thats totally different for him).
He's not a "groomer." He has not even made any demands of her, other than to help her control her powers. To him, the concept of "bride" was "companion."
