The best way to promote this to the gun community in my opinion would be to send a couple of units to Sage dynamic for testing, if it passes his testing and gets a recommendation from him, you will quickly find yourselves hard-pressed to keep them in stock.

Nobody comes close to their holography, and what they have is so advanced that they literally can't improve it due to tech not existing for it. Not to mention since they've finally got out from under L3's monotony, they've released their Vudu product line, are releasing a Hunter/Sportsman product line, and are now looking to advance into the thermal and night vision market. Just because a design stays the same, it doesn't mean they're resting on their laurels
Just took my first defensive rifle one class yesterday and I have a Vortex Strike Eagle 1x8. They say you come away from a class either loving or hating your gear. I love my strike eagle but when I was lying prone trying to hit 300 yards I was having a issue with scope shadow. I tried lengthening my stock and it didn't help a lot and so I wanted to look for another option. I heard Amod from Lead & Steal on a podcast and decided to check them out and I think this optic is going to be perfect for me. Looking forward to getting my red dot in May!
I'm more than happy with my holosun 510c with its titanium hood, solar power, and 50,000 hour battery life. I will definitely look into your optics more. Gotta love the donut of death.
Yeah, I'm content with my 510c as well. His argument about open emitter isn't a relevant negative in my circumstances. But if I were to be constantly in the dirt, mud, water with my rifle, then closed emitter would be appealing. I'm might pick one up to try and have as a backup to my Holosun.

I love my eotech and my aimpoint pro but I'm blown away by the presentation and the confidence of the people that made this product. I wish I would have seen this. Too bad I missed the promo, would have bought two of these. Will wait om a sale when it's in full throttle production. USA!
I like it. I thought I was the only one with those complaints. Love the Eotech for the parallax, big window, and reticle. However no shake awake, and the reticle is there all the time. If you’re not doing CQB, then the Eotech reticle gets in the way more than it helps. Aimpoint, good durability but a single dot and tiny window. Holosun - I liked the 510 for the size and reticle options, but it’s open emitter. The 512C is closed emitter, but the optic view is so “fish eye” bendy as you move your eye around that I can’t stand it. So I’ve settled on the 515 with a Scalarworks 1.93. I’ll try this for sure.
so much for trying to set aside extra money this month. This looks great and I've recently been on the fence about picking up an EOTECH but I really don't feel like dropping $600+ right now. $275 sounds much more reasonable right now!

Absolutely. I have a PVS14 I can record with. My buddy also has dual tubes (green phos) that we occasionally play with. I'll try that as well in subsequent reels/videos!

Looks great, but how is the light transmission under night vision? I have a few Holosuns for example and compared to my Aimpoint T-2, they look like they still have the lens cap on when viewed under very low light conditions. I'd like to see side by side comparisons between the T-2 or EXPS3 and the LP-1 under night vision.
I hope this sight is really good but what he is describing in his "best of" is a Romeo 4T, 4T Pro, and 8T. Tough as hell, crazy battery life - 4 reticles. Motac on/off. This is exactly what I am wanting for the new optic on my setup I just finished. I’m really liking the features/specs on the LP-1, not to mention it’s also a very clean looking optic that would sit nicely on a Unity riser. As I’ve been trying to decide which route to go, I was was thinking that I wish someone would come out with something new and innovative, and this definitely is. I hate that I didn’t see this sooner for initial drop, but I’m subbed now and following on IG so I can keep updated. 🤘🏼
Hopefully there's little emitter glare and good NV performance. Even better if they could work with PA to get an ACSS version that's not stuck on a 503. If it turns out well I'd be down for a green one.

On paper is amazing in practice I hope it's amazing glad to be in on the ground floor. I couldn't justify the 600$ for the eotech when my 60~$ truglo was currently working albeit not as awesome. Hope my Promethean outshines my current reticle and makes me decide...why buy anything else in the future.
The NV performance will be key. This is where the Eotech shines compared to most. Daylight brightness in intense light like desert and glass coating tinteding?
Has any testing been done with the LP-1 on the SCAR platform? Im curious to how it holds up to that unique recoil impulse as I have both a SCAR16 and SCAR17 so if i were to pick one of these up it would be for one of those guns.

Great video. I've toyed with this idea but admit, I am years away from being able to do this kind of thing. I would love to grab one of these to test out so can't wait until its on the market. Why no one has started to use 7000 series is insane to me. Yes, its more expensive and harder on tooling, but its about durability. The prices of these competitors are already crazy, might as well use great materials. I feel like the market is saturated with sub par accessories touted as AMAZING quality by those trying to sell it to others as to why they paid as much as they have. A lot of the companies are still riding on their military contracts from YEARS ago. Good for you brother and hopefully I can snag one soon!!!

@@cerebralfirearms aimpoint definitely isnt worth it. Small window, nothing but a simple dot, nothing special. In a high end red dot torture test, the aimpoint was the first to fail very early on during the drop test portion.
Question. Why not make the hood out of the 7000 series aluminum, and the body itself out of 6000 series? Wouldn't the more durable aluminum be a good choice for a sacrificial hood, and make the unit cheaper overall to produce?
7075 has such a high tensile strength that it would translate virtually all the kinetic energy to wherever the hood was connected to the base. Be it fasteners, inlayed shelves, etc., the 6061 would almost always deform, because it's that much softer. Also, our hoods are extruded because 6061 can be safely bent. 7075 cannot be extruded, necessitating a machined operation and thus driving up the cost. Great question 👍

came across this vid by accident...lucky me you deserve massive props for being so transparent about where you're getting the materials from -my thoughts- -ill take japanese electronics over china all day -housing made in Hong Kong....unless QC is garbage, this will be no problem -assembled in USA...full on win -123 battery keeps the variety of batteries i need to stock low...i like that -no 'shake awake'....not a bad feature, but 1 more electronic thing to go wrong the only questions to be answered are red dot brightness and parallax personally i would like to see different reticle options...most of us will never use our rifle for defense past 25 yards so that giant 65 moa circle designed to range enemies out to 200 yards isn't ideal...something with a smaller outer plus a 2 moa dot center so we can use it with a magnifier for hunting would be better imo

@@LeadSteel When you think about it rationally, shake awake really is meaningless. People should swap batteries every year or two even if the optic is still working. So the need for that definitely seems secondary, especially at the price point your hitting.
Curious about PWM and brightness settings. Have you published any info on this? How is the refresh rate? I think if you guys can nail that feature you'll have an industry leading product.
We don't use PWM to cheat brightness levels, we use a resistor. Therefore, you won't notice a refresh rate difference between all seven brightness settings. Think Aimpoint, not LCO/Huey. 👍
Interesting product, options are good. What differentiates this product from a Sig Romeo 8T, Holosun AEMS, or Holosun 512T. All of which are large square window, 50,000 hour LED, 7075 or Titanium housing optics. It appears this is very similar to those offerings unless there’s something else I’m not seeing, just price difference?
They advertise 50K battery, but that's not on the cicle + dot reticle. Physics is physics. Our battery life also goes up to 50K on the 2MOA dot. We also have a QD mount, true lower 1/3rd, the largest window in class, and at a fraction of the price. No gimmicky failure-prone "features" either. Take the best of every optic you mentioned and you've got the LP-1 👍
I'm sure there are bad shake awake examples, but I've never had a problem with Holosun's shake awake. It's worked flawlessly in the three optics of their's I've had. It would have been cool to have seen that in this optic. That said, nothing wrong with applying the KISS principle across the board which this optic seems to be going for. I'm here for it. Back ordering, now and excited to put this optic through its paces. Thank you!
Thank you! It's not the fact that the shake awake doesn't work, it's that the accelerometer (with the three sources we used) fails after impact testing, thus creating the no wake issue.

Very interested in this red dot… A lot of us chose to use Eotech overseas, however when it came out that they ignored the known issue of thermal shift for 10 years issuing these to service members, screw that company (L3)…

Looks excellent behind a G45! My buddy has an HM3X and found it slightly clearer/crisper than his 512C, but nothing huge.

Also, our hoods are extruded because 6061 can be safely bent. 7075 cannot be extruded, necessitating a machined operation and thus driving up the cost.

@@HawaiiFoodAndFun It's about convenience. When I go to a regular store that has batteries, they sell one CR123 for almost $10. I'd rather not have to hunt or order online for some batteries.

the only questions to be answered are red dot brightness and parallax
personally i would like to see different reticle options...most of us will never use our rifle for defense past 25 yards so that giant 65 moa circle designed to range enemies out to 200 yards isn't ideal...something with a smaller outer plus a 2 moa dot center so we can use it with a magnifier for hunting would be better imo

I purchased one just to support a new company (especially one thats bringing manufacturing to the states). I love competition and would love to see a new challenger to these big companies. Any plans for a green emmiter? I will say thought, I love shake awake and feel it has spoiled many. Looks awesome though 👌

@@LeadSteel When you think about it rationally, shake awake really is meaningless. People should swap batteries every year or two even if the optic is still working. So the need for that definitely seems secondary, especially at the price point your hitting.
I don't think the rated battery life is any longer for this vs the other optics with shake awake.
@@rodneyws1977 this is 30k hours, shake awake is 50k. That is such a long time either way. Should never keep batteries that long either way.

Curious about PWM and brightness settings. Have you published any info on this? How is the refresh rate? I think if you guys can nail that feature you'll have an industry leading product.
We don't use PWM to cheat brightness levels, we use a resistor. Therefore, you won't notice a refresh rate difference between all seven brightness settings. Think Aimpoint, not LCO/Huey. 👍

Interesting product, options are good. What differentiates this product from a Sig Romeo 8T, Holosun AEMS, or Holosun 512T. All of which are large square window, 50,000 hour LED, 7075 or Titanium housing optics. It appears this is very similar to those offerings unless there’s something else I’m not seeing, just price difference?
HS 512 is true cowitness. It works for me but a lot of people like the extra height. AEMS and Romeo 8t have smaller windows it looks like.
They advertise 50K battery, but that's not on the cicle + dot reticle. Physics is physics. Our battery life also goes up to 50K on the 2MOA dot.
We also have a QD mount, true lower 1/3rd, the largest window in class, and at a fraction of the price. No gimmicky failure-prone "features" either.
Take the best of every optic you mentioned and you've got the LP-1 👍

Eyeball dependent. The reticle looks wonderful with my astigmatism, but that's me.
I'm sure there are bad shake awake examples, but I've never had a problem with Holosun's shake awake. It's worked flawlessly in the three optics of their's I've had. It would have been cool to have seen that in this optic. That said, nothing wrong with applying the KISS principle across the board which this optic seems to be going for. I'm here for it. Back ordering, now and excited to put this optic through its paces. Thank you!
Thank you! It's not the fact that the shake awake doesn't work, it's that the accelerometer (with the three sources we used) fails after impact testing, thus creating the no wake issue.

It absolutely can. A few turns with a T9 and you're good.
I was going to ask the same thing. Any photos of it without the shroud and weight without it? Nice looking optic. If you decide to design a pistol optic, something competitive to the aimpoint acro would be a great option.
Very interested in this red dot… A lot of us chose to use Eotech overseas, however when it came out that they ignored the known issue of thermal shift for 10 years issuing these to service members, screw that company (L3)…
