Its a nice car but a pity Americans have such bad taste when it comes to chrome wheels .... Alloy wheels are made to LIGHTWEIGHT and then Americans have to be better and look cooler and ADD weight by having them chromed ... Not only does it look gawdy, but its shows utter lack of knowledge.
If you polish aluminium it actually shines ... (but you have to polish it.... No good for McD eating afficionados).

These videos on old school super cars makes me happy. Seeing people appreciate these old cars is rare nowadays. Everyone is all about modern cars but these cars are the golden era in my opinion
I too am absofreakinlutely in LOOOOOVE with Lamborghini Diablo SVs, and this is by far THEEEEE greatest automotive story ever told on TH-cam, IMO! Still to this day, I think the Diablo SV, and GT models are the best looking exotic cars ever made. I'd love to have a 1999 model. Back in the day of the first 'Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit' video game, a yellow Diablo SV was my car of choice that I used almost EVERY time to race with. I'm really looking forward to seeing videos of the arrival of this beauty. Congrats, John!

1/2 year ago a utuber (hamid tailormade cars) went to south German collector he wants to have 5 million on a 3500 km diablo sv . I fell literally out of bed , because it is almost the same car I have bought 2 years ago in Luxemburg . Only difference , naturally I don’t think it’s the world is , 100 horses more (650) , only 3500 km old , build in front lights & racing gear handle & clutch .

At this stage you almost have to keep it now. 1 of 1 colour, 10+ plus years of stalking, one off call that actually lead to something, that's one hell of story!
How this channel doesn't have 100 k already, this stories/video edit are so good.

Because most people care about modern hypercars and super cars. Those cars are cool, but the old school super cars are where its at. Id take a zonda over huayra any day, or an f40 over a modern ferrari. These old cars are more analog and pure. They might be built poorly like the old ferraris maybe but they have more soul and emotion than the dead sounding turbo v8s the 488 has etc. the old cars have more charm in my opinion

I saw the same forum post of this yellow Diablo, because I dislike the color I didn't even pay attention(blue is the best imo). I had no idea about the story behind it.

It's a registry the documents ALL the cars. Regardless of whether or not someone posts the car to the registry. It's not the same thing.

I love all your videos, especially with these holy grail type cars. I live in San Antonio Tx, and within the city limits is a small municipality named Alamo Heights. There is some dude who, according to a friend who's met him, has a large super car collection in an underground garage. All the cars are white. I ended up living there for a year and would always see amazing white super cars drive by. Lambos, Ferrari, Lexus LFA etc. The holy grail car I saw, and I believe this to be the same collector, was a 1960's Ford GT40...of course in white (a creamy type of white) with antique plates. I have a somewhat crappy cell phone photo I managed to grab of it somewhere.

@john it was Platinum Motorsport Vic's business... one of his original Lambo techs Jose Luna is my shop foreman here at Vegas Auto Gallery. I was Shop foremen of Mb of orland park from 1993 to 2006 and I have a deep history of Pre Merger AMG cars. Westmont Il was where I grew up and I serviced and repaired several back in the day, including a black black hammer wagon with 6L
If we ever bump into each other I will share some history and knowledge.

Absolutely insane story...just a shame you stopped talking too soon...you could have just made this video last longer... absolutely shocking story!!!! WOW!!! One of the best adventure you must have had John... absolutely mind-blowing!!! Thanks for sharing!!! By the way...you own my favourite car of all the time, the Diablo Jota S.E. ...in 1994 a famous Italian car magazine came out with it...I still have the two pages that described this beauty. I was 10 at that time and since then, because the shock I had instantly, it become my dream car and my love for Lambo has never stopped...I wish, one day, to be able to see it in person before passing away..maybe I'll need to take a flight ahaha ...not many left unfortunately!!!
You should talk to Ammo NYC, he details cars in this guys warehouse that has ultra rare Ferrari’s, Lambo’s, and Porsches, among many other makes, that haven’t seen the light of day in decades in some cases.

Thank u for ur vid, I really needed it (so to say), probably I got my yellow 97 diablo vs half a year ago like "Virgin Maria" to a kid, ... naturally with the help or lets say influence of utube, I mean to a level they know what I watch, what I want, who I am. ... That ur guy gave his diablo away, I don't get that, the only reason I see, he never drove it anyway. I can understand that, to be honest, if u only allowed to drive the car up to 75 maybe 80mph, in Western EU that's a speed limit where even the fun didn't start at all. Lucky wise, we don't need to race the car on a track, because we can do that here legally on the freeway. "that doesn't mean that we have too" but to be honest, 150mph, is no speed, that is also relaxed cruisin' to me, and sometimes it is also economically sense full, I mean what sense does it make to ride for or six hours at a stretch, when u can do it in half the time. And I grant u, driving at least a 150mph for hours, that is the moment, a car feels like u're flying a jet. But it's ok to drive within city limits, to get shopping or what ever u do in the city. And excuse me, I've been a poor boy all my live, I don't even sleep in a hotel, I rather sleep in da dirt, or in da car in our days. So please excuse me once again for sometimes seeming so angry, if LAMBORGHINI comes up and wants for example a simple key for the car 250 bucks, or 4 tire valves about a 130 to 140 bucks incl. shipping, than I think are they mad, or what is goin' on with LAMORGHINI ? but god bless u + ur subscribers ... love u !
