Extremely helpful video, Thank you!! Apparently my TM40 still has the size 70 AP jet, it almost feels like the clutch is slipping when I goose it lmfao. I just ordered a size 40 & 45 nozzle. I will try the 40 first.

I just got my pumper carburetor dialed in. What an improvement. I have stock head pipe modified mid pipe and gixxer muffler and TM40 pumper carburetor and it runs great

Awesome video as always. Lower fuel mileage may be due to all the dank wheelies you were pulling last weekend 😅

You ever figured it out. Been playing with mine i think ive got a 160-165 main, needle at second lowest ( second most rich) and larger pilot. (mine was from procycle ) pulls like a train but been trying to workout the bog at 20-30% throttle.
    Its open airbox,k&n, full exhaust.
    Getting about 38mpg

With the AP timing and adjustment I thought you don't want it to hit anything and just go straight down the carb throat ? Great series though.

According to the Mikuni manual, you want the fuel stream to strike the needle. Thanks for watching.

@@DustinRogersinMO Fantastic mate! Thanks for clarification, its been a while since you have had the TM40 on - how have you found it? Are you still happy? I am deciding if i should put one on my DR650.

@@booki-raw1065 very happy with it. If I were to do it over, I’d buy the kit from ProCycle instead of piecing together what I needed and finding a used carb. It would have saved me loads of time/tuning.

I’d love to. Unfortunately the range is not yet good enough for the places I ride. Most I’ve seen only are capable of 40-60 miles on a charge. We’ll do 200 mile day trips through very rural areas, where sometimes it’s questionable if you’ll find a gas station, much less a charging station.
