@@thecuriousnomad4712 interesting, how have I never met you ! I Fly there every weekend really. Do you drive a white ranger and or a white van, i may have met you 2 years ago. You may have been the guy flying the plane in the background in this video of mine; th-cam.com/video/Hok2m2mlY2w/w-d-xo.html
Looking for my first TH plane, any recommendations? I'm looking at the 39" models but I fly mostly scale aerobatics but looking to take my 3d flying to this lvl. I been looking at the super extra L, crack yak 55, either one of the edge 540 v3's. I dont know if they all fly the same or have their own specialtys
@@thecuriousnomad4712 awesome thank you, I went with the edge 540 v3 by rc factory. Mostly bc I like how it's purple on top and white and yellow on bottom so it will be easy for me being my first time profile plane to see my orientation better
I literally bought this plane because of your vid. And built it off your build video. It flys awesome! And thank you. Being a newb to 3d planes I'm already doing some fun maneuvers. Question. Are there any more foamy 3d trainer planes you would reccomend that are up to par with this one? I was kinda thinking a bi plane for something different. What kinda differences in fly characteristics could I find In a bi plane?
For me the Vertigo is probably the best of them all, it will do almost anything and has the power to do high speed maneuvers usually reserved for bigger balsa planes. The Hacker Pittsbull is awesome also, but it is a lot more work to build and far more fragile. It will maneuver second to none and practically turn iunside itself! Glad you like the vids, happy flying
Crazy expensive foamie. Ridiculous actually. I make my own with much better flying characteristics. Than any of my twisted hobbies planes. Really prefer making them actually. Only costs $20 If i am going to spend over $100 ill buy a giant scale used with engine and electronics.
Great video. This is incredibly helpful for us new to intermediate 3d pilots. Thanks for doing this.
You are welcome
Awesome, nice hover dancing plane👍

All the 39" planes fly well so you cannot go wrong with any of them. I have the Crack Yak, great little plane. They do all fly very similar.

Edge 540 is a good choice. it is bullet proof and very capable@@nichollsboy11
@@thecuriousnomad4712 thanks for responding back. What type of foam glue you recommend on these?
Goop, great stuff. @@nichollsboy11
How many years did it take for this level of capability ?
Around 5 years for me, try to get in several flights each morning behind the house. Tons of fun!
@@thecuriousnomad4712 I've just got the radiolink A560 it seems like a good one for learning 3d
How much weight is your RC plane?
Sublime.
Do you remember if you had a Gyro on this airplane.
Yes, it has a Lemon stabilizer installed

I try to fly before golf course opens in early morning! Plus, I'm 250 yards from the Tee, not many golfers can drive one that far.....
