anytime during the show he had to fight, he absolutely dominated. It seems like Madison is the only one who truly understands what a beast he was. By far my favorite character on the show

He was the Rick Grimes of this show, mainly he went from a simple survivor to beating two people to death, in vengeance of Chris. And unlike Rick, when he just disappeared, he just got shot in the helicopter and fell out, a very cringe moment from AMC.

Oh wow, seeing the old pics of how the show was got me bummed a little. Loved the beginning of the outbreak and the family stuck behind the fences. Seemed realistic that they would have safe zones around the cities while they took out the dead. I'm sure the military thought they had it under control till they didn't. I loved Travis and I loved when he went crazy on the Americans that killed Chris. He went from trying to keep his humanity to full on beast mode. He went out protecting them but I hate that he ended up wandering around as a walker. I'm assuming he did since they went back to the crash and he wasn't there. His death was sad and selfless but they could've done more for him. I wish the actor well in his future roles.
I thinking probably from the elevation of the helicopter and the rocky landscape below, when I fell out his body probably just broke in half on impact. So if he didn't fall on his head, and he did turn he probably would have just been stuck to the ground. Plus they probably didn't go back to the exact location but yeah didn't find him.
@@NocBroNation yeah, now that I think about it, they went to the crash site and the wreckage was gone, but Travis fell out earlier somewhere else. I just didn't want him lying there stuck to the ground as a walker or out wandering. Its sad when it's someone on the show that u care about. Like when they went out and found Deanna and later Sasha to put them down. And it sucked for Madison. She didn't get to say goodbye. She was expecting him to meet her at the ranch. Now u guys got me wanting to go back and watch the first 3 seasons. Its crazy the differences in the show now seeing the old pics and most of those ppl are now gone. ❤💀
I loved Travis esp when he became bad-ass after his stupid son got killed (Chris was the worst). Cliff Curtis is a phenomenal actor! He's like a chameleon & has played so many different types of characters.
Still can't believe Travis died like this. I remember watching his death for the first time and as soon as he was shot I thought it was a dream sequence.

To be fair, Chris was already going insane prior to meeting those 2 dudes, they just instigated a faster change. Chris was already acting all wacked out and was basically forcing his own isolation because it was his step family and he felt Travis was never around prior.
Now that the first half of Season 6 is over, I've gone back to start re-watching the show from the beginning. Travis was awesome. He didn't start off that way, but by the end of Season 2, he definitely was.
To be honest I stopped watching the show after they killed travis

I'm sure with studios those contracts can be different if actors want to get out. We don't know how all that works behind the scenes.
Travis had sooooooooooooooo much potential on this. I was loving watching him go from innocent man who said "He's sick! Don't hurt him!" to "ARRRRRGGGG!!!!!" Savage man who was kicking everyone's ass!

Man I was so upset of what happened to Travis. This guy had so much potential from going from a peaceful friendly High School Teacher to full on badass and potentially a leader if he changed even more throughout the series.

Ik its been 4 years ago. But they didnt really have to kill him off. U say he had movies coming out. They couldve just had him leave fear the walking dead. With people thinking hes dead and he returns in season 6 7 or 8. That would actually be a pretty cool ending to the series if they didnt kill him off.

Travis, Nick and Chris was my favorites. Chris had potential to be a big villain. Plus had the most bullshit death next to Travis's. Show off isn't the same without the original cast.

I’ll forever be heartbroken ab nicks death. Bc he was talking to Morgan and it seemed like he was going to become a peace keeper like Morgan. Then Nope a ten year old girl shoots him
So travis got shot from his side up to his neck , the bullet went all the way through his body . Is that what happened? cuz it's a very tricky scene to understand.
I got so mad and sad when travis died. He was a really good character in the beginning and he became this person that was very compassionate and badass in fear of the walking dead. Upon saying that, I like all the characters too. I wish though that travis could be stayed a little longer with group, I felt bad for madison, I would be been ok with his death if he was with madison so she can say goodbye at least to her husband but yah his death was tragic and surprising like a kick to your face kind of thing. In a way I wish they would run into zombie travis 😭🙂

Curtis should have stayed imo, his character just started to get super interesting. It would have been great to him grow closer to nick and alicia
I got so mad when Travis died like bro he is a top 3 character in the whole twd universe and he got killed like that.
And the thing is that Travis became a badass in my opinion better than Rick cause he fought a whole horde of like 25 walkers with his fists and didnt get bit and he was trapped in a 4x8 pit, won a 1v3 no problem and was stronger than anyone he fought basically i actually believe that Travis beats Gov easily and would be quite equal to beta.
Its a damn shame cause he died like 2 or 3 months in the apocalypse imagine Travis in the apocalypse for a decade.
Bro would have Rick's mentality and leadership, betas strength and fighting skills maybe better,coldness everything.
But he just had to get killed in the stupidest way no sacrifice no nothin felt like joel's death from TLOU 2.

I downloaded all seasons of ftwd, and then Travis died and then I deleted all episodes from season 3-7, there is no point to watch. There is no point if there is no Travis.
They just kill all cool characters, and all trash booring chars remain after that.

I think one of Fear's biggest weaknesses in season 1 and 2 was that I never felt like I knew who the lead was. I hated to see him leave the show, but his death came out of no where and is a highlight of season 3, helping to pave the way for Madison to finally emerge as the lead.
i always saw nick as the main character. he was the start of the show and is the best person and had a very interesting character development from a crazy addict. (if he died dont tell me im on season 3 lol)
but yeah madison does seem the lead of season 3 so far, but oh well
i don't like madison. she's really dumb and disrespectful (funeral-ish for the girl dead in the car crash, i understand travis died too but she was very disrespectful interrupting it.). she totally ruined their stay at the place in baja, it was totally fine and nick totally saved them but she had to go and fucking ruin it. i don't blame nick for leaving her behind

I watched the show just for him and his family. The day i saw he got killed the show ended for me. What a shitty way to kill the most important character and for what avatar 2 ? Of all the zombies in the world he got killed in a helicopter by the bullets someone fired from the ground...

Madison returned season 7 lol and they teased her being alive in either season 5 or 6.
I don't mind the way they killed Travis. I wish he lasted longer, is all. Maybe until the end of the season, or midseason. But I think in FTWD it truly makes you feel like no character is safe. They used to say that with TWD all the time, but I think Fear does it better.

I would of loved to of seen Travis survive, but when showrunner Dave Erickson gave his reasoning for killing Travis in 3x02 , I agreed with him. After the death of Chris Travis was a broken man and after being separated at the compound his mission became to reunite Madison with her children because since he couldn’t save his son he was seeking redemption of sorts to save his stepchildren at all costs and once he fulfilled that mission his character completed his story arc and that was the end of his story. I would of loved seeing him and Madison together, but that reason to me was a great one. Though even if he survived he probably would of been killed off in the first episode of Season 4 seeing how these showrunners sought to make a completely different show.

He signed on for Avatar, but did not want to be killed off. The early seasons of FTWD were still trying to figure out who the lead of the show was. Strand was the breakout character of S1 imo. S2 it was up for grabs. They decided instead to make the Clark Family the focal point and I thought that was a good idea. The show was still strong after killing Travis. I think the demise of the show was putting Pimple and the new show runners in charge. I call them the two nerds. They turned a gritty and more realistic take of the WD into a more campy version of original WD. It seriously looked like it could have been on Syfy as Z Nation.
I don't think Frank Dilane would have wanted to leave if they continued with the story arc of S3. The show made a drastic turn that no longer felt interesting to him. I don't blame him for wanting to leave either with boring Morgan now being the lead. It should have been called Fear the Boring Dead after S3. Even veteran actor Garret Dillahunt wanted out after a couple of seasons. He was probably like, this is not what I signed up for lol. The original actors who remained are pros, but they should have left also.

I really think that he fell out of the helicopter because he was in shock & disoriented. People saying he could've survived the fall are just wrong. Besides, he was shot in the neck & I want to say the chest also (I could he wrong about the chest).

@@bweany6728 🦊 Agreed. Later in season 3, when Madison was nearly drowning, it was a vision of Travis reaching out to her that gave her the strength to not give up. If Travis were dead, Madison would have drowned when she reached for his hand.

Why are the start of zombie series so much better than the ending . For example walking dead started of amazing now it’s just boring , fear the walking dead started great and is now just boring , znation started of good and finished very poor .

🦊 Without physically being there, Travis saved Madison from drowning later on in season 3. If Travis were dead, Madison would have died when she reached for what she believed to be his hand.
🦊 Travis could be with Rick, as well. Jadis could have found him and turned him over to CRM as an "A".

I'm sorry but FTWD was so problematic. The writer's killed off their 3 strongest characters within 4 seasons. I'm sorry but that's like if they killed off Rick, Daryl and Glenn to the governor in season 4 of TWD. Sure, it has the shock factor but is it worth it?? You were then left with Strand and Alicia which were fine as side characters, but they just weren't strong enough to carry the show. I'm not surprised they brought in Morgan but even he was better off as the reoccurring character in TWD. John Dorie was a much stronger character and actually managed to keep me engaged through the worst season of any television I'd ever seen (Season 5), but when they killed him off in season 6 I was pissed. The series was always hanging on by the skin of its teeth yet it had SOO much potential had the writer's stayed engaged with a proper narrative.
Travis and Carl are the two characters that should've never died in TWD universe. Worst writers ever.

FTWD peaked at season 3 & thebfirst half of season 4. They could have kept the apocalypse in the early days, and kept the apocalypse, seemingly special, and still scary… Instead of becoming the walking, dead 2.0 with all the time skips

Still to this day is this death and the controversy surrounding it, is totally misinformed by the populace.
He did not leave for Avatar, he didn't sign onto the role of Avatar until filming for Fear had concluded, and his death scene was planned but not until later in season (likely when the Ranch fell and what was also possibly reworked into Coop's death scene). According to the showrunner, he just couldn't figure a way to include him into the ranch storyline without giving away certain aspects of the ranch (which he was obviously eluding to Jeremiah's racism, which would've made us not like him as a character before intended).
