Madame Genet is a great villain. She has some redeeming qualities because she believes she's actually doing good but the bad parts far outweigh any good ones.
Such a shame they finished off the CRM and Beale. Ignored the fact in WB they were experimenting on walkers and all the other connections like destination 2 etc.. I think the most likely next Villian will be Genet and/or variant walkers
All the science and world building of the CRM being thrown away in TOWL in favour of a cheesy love story is the worst thing to happen to TWDU since firing Dave Erickson
I kinda wish they had left the CRM open so you could use that storyline more... but I don't think Rick and or Michonne wanted to do more Walking Dead

100% Madame Genet for me and her super walkers
For me, their biggest potential threat are the "smart" and fast Walkers that learned how to climb walls and open doors. The devastation and fatalities could increase dramatically- way more than prior.

To do a major crossover, I wonder when it will be set, cos DC is set several years after TOWL... so could we see an older Judith with a new actor? Any change of actor would be a shame, however if this crossover wasn't to happen for another 5-years, Cailey Fleming and Antony Azor could return. As for a big bad, they would need to be major, the biggest we've ever seen to require this crossever event and I'm salivating thinking about it.

I like your list of potential villains. My top two are
- remnants of the CRM overthrow the Civic Republic leaders in a Coup and build a major threat to surrounding communities
- intelligent, variant walkers lead hordes of walkers which threaten the remaining communities of survivors.
I just hope they follow up on Designation 2, when they found about that group i swore it was the CRM. A group that big has to have more than the material they got on screen.
Such BS. An advanced secret military unit with special forces all wiped out. But Janea is the threat.
I'm 99% sure destination 2 was CRM related. They changed plans in TOWL and decided to take them out so now allll the CRM Easter eggs/connections are forgotten

Without repeating things that has already been done, it would have to be something we haven't come across before to keep me interested. The CRM was the biggest threat to all communities and with that story put to bed it kind of leaves you kind of deflated,knowing it would have to be even bigger than the CRM.
Be cool to see a "nemesis" or "tyrant" style zombie like from the Resident Evil games.
The Governor comes back as a super zombie variant that can talk. Lmao😂
Beale should have been a fake out super villain. Infact the plot twist would have been Beale holding back the real ultimate villains - remnants of the DoD/US Government
What happened with the fresh super strong walkers in World Beyond? Or was the scientist killed with that dart?
All ignored so they could defeat the CRM in TOWL...they made such a big thing about the CRM doing experiments with walkers and it was all ignored
The scientist that dies likely was infected with a variant strain of the wildfire virus.

I just want the villan to be the walkers. I mean seriously, smart walkers, running walkers...we've had human villans already. Make the villan the smart walkers. They evolved so much that the humans no longer have the luxury of fighting eachother
Remnants of CRM could work especially since there was 15000 regular soldiers not at the meeting. Plenty of them could've wanted to be in that elite soldier group and loyal to Beale.
The CR still has it regular troops I would assume. They are still a formidable force.
I honestly could care less after the disappointing ending of the CRM. All I want is Daryl/Carol, Morgan, and Negan/maggie to see Rick.

The ones who live finally make no sense in my mind... I mean, why put the CRM in 3 series and spin-offs just to kill them all and destroy all what you've done in that way... It was so easy for Michonne and for Rick that i really can't buy him being missing so long... Im sorry TWD, but im done.

There's no other villains that can replace the size and capabilities of the CRM they were endgame material simple as that LOL they shot their load too early and that is the end of that🤣🍻

I feel like an end game will ruin the franchise... think of the ending of pretty much every big series out there. All ended terribly! I'm literally dreading it... best ending at this point is the crm theory that disease famine and evolution of walkers basically does just kill off everything 😂! At this point I couldn't imagine an end game war with either a bad or good outcome actually being a good ending at all! I think whatever happens the final episode of everything walking dead the fans will riot claiming it was awful 😂
When they end it I think it shouldn't include any main characters, maybe be a post-post-apocalyptic special showing the decline and overall death of everything on earth in some cinematic fashion 😂!
None of them would even come close, Beale and the CRM was the closest thing to a Thanos endgame TWD would or will ever get and they botched it.
Maybe there is an even bigger military threat out there like bigger than the CRM. Somewhere across the world.
