I bought a brand new 500excf last year. My first dual sport and non Japanese made bike. It has been awesome and I dont find the maintenance at all bad.
right? Everyone acts soooooo scared of the maintencence. I used to hear people talk about it and think that the maintenance would be so daunting, man KTM makes it so easy to do these things and i honestly kindof enjoy it TBH. And good to know you're looking after your bike and checking in on things.
I’ve got 250 Husky FE and adore the thing, it’s amazing. Mine also came with a rekluse. I was going to take it out but tried it and hooked. You still can do all your normal stuff just stops constant flame outs. I previously rode a 150 2T with no rekluse and got on fine feathering so I don’t lack the skills to do it. I’ll see how I go, might take it off or keep it 😄
dude exactly I'm in the same boat! I wasn't sure how I'd feel about it. kind of a fan now, especially if getting arm pump it's a no brainer. only downside I experience, if you crash or drop the bike angled down or up, picking it up, she just wants to roll since the auto clutch allows freewheeling. sometimes I just push it down the hill to an easier spot lol. i love it though.
I like how much more confident you seem on the ktm. Currently finishing making my 350 sxf into an xcf. Just have to do the wiring for the lights and speedo. I’m in southern IN/IL right on border. Will have to get up and ride with you sometime. Or come on down here. Few places to ride pretty close.
18 a buddy of mine raced gncc with it. So all the goodies. I just started riding again after years away. Pretty rusty. This thing rips. You do the type of riding I want to do really. Just mess around and do it all. I like the idea of I don’t know where that goes, let’s see. Haha
Yeah interlake is just northeast of Evansville which is where I just moved from. Tons of area out there to ride. Friend of mine knows a lot of the better trails out there. Beginner to harder stuff. Little Egypt off road is like 20min from my house in Illinois. Williams hill pass orb area is 20min the other way and they’re working on one that is about 5min from my house. Supposed to finish it this year sometime.
Hey man. Not sure if you remember but I had the red and white and black klx with custom kit on it on the Facebook group. Looking at reviews on these cuz I'm getting the exact same bike and seen the klx and was like NO WAY lol. Excited to pick mine up Saturday!
dude!!!!! hell yes! no way!!! coming from a KLX, this thing is such a happy transition for me. enough power to respect it, buy already learning to command it and use it. literally couldn't be happier now! what year is yours? Send me pics, would love to see
Went to go pick it up last Saturday and turns out it had low compression and the guy just wanted to much for it, so... Ended up getting a 2013 KTM 450 sxf and after WOW! absolute torque monster. Can't wait to hit some dirt with her. I don't remember ur name but if ur still in the klx group I'll find ya 😂. Happy riding man
That bikes beautiful man I didn’t even know they made that model I. That cc lol and hey people like that chassis from 17 to 22 better than the current one to be honest
thanks Mike! it has been super fun and manageable so far! helping my technique ten fold. Good to hear the 17's we're doing something right. I love not having linkage as well. makes log crossing easier!
You'd hate my 300L, I pulled all the chinesium lookin graphic stickers off.😂 All I put is destination and personal interest stickers... all 5 of them😂 You turned into a wild man after just about nine months of riding. I'm dying slowly inside with the bike garaged.😢

On the forks I meant is it 4cs or explore
Sick video thinking on getting one. 2 Stroke or 4?
I like a 4 personally! but haven't spent much time on two strokes. maybe one day!
That's such a fun bike. But I think I like my back tire a little bit more thicc 😉
Can't go wrong with your TW200, buddy! I love how we both can rip these totally different bikes and still hang and have an absolute blast!
This is a good video
thanks man! glad you enjoyed it. ✨
What forks are on that bike is it exact or explore
