Ahh... very good project and liked the tunes ! I just got an 02 Durango R/T today. July 2021. Looking around for info and ideas etc... Mainly to get into the woods for camping , hiking, trout fishing etc...maybe a bed setup ??? Or to do a cargo trailer as a small C.T.Camper ???
If it’s just you, you can fit an air mattress up to a queen size in the cargo area. All seats lay flat (if you have and don’t need the third row seating, remove it). If you have more than a couple people, you may need to utilize that second row seating, so I’d do things like this: Camping trailer with rack and roof top tent on the trailer (I’ve always wanted to build one of these), or a RTT on the roof of the Durango and store everything you need in the cab. I use mine for fishing, camping, and pulling a boat/utility trailer. It’s not my daily, it’s my utility truck. When my ex wife was preggo, we’d go on trips with roof top storage, rods attached to roof, small pop up tent outside for the dog and cat, and we’d sleep in the cab on a queen air mattress! Then my son was born, so for the first couple years, he’d sleep between us on the air mattress. Nowadays it’s just my 13 year old boy and I, so we keep all the gear in the cargo area and use a traditional tent. An RTT would be cool, so would an off road camp trailer, but in a few years this will be his daily driver, so I’m done. I just posted an updated video a few weeks ago, btw. Try to find it on my channel.
I have an 03 SXT also. Been in 2 collisions in Reno (rear end and head on). I got more back than what I paid for it. It still runs and drives good, just fugly as hell. And since the bumper was off when I got hit head on it deployed airbags and locked up the seatbelts. Tittle wasn't salvaged so I'm gonna restore it. I want to go with a 5.7 swap. It's still a great fun car to drive

Great overhaul! I really want to overhaul the 2001 I grew up in, parents bought in 03 when I was 2 (I’m even as old as the truck!) that I am now proud to call my own (sorry parent’s 2013, you will never be THE Durango). I would definitely keep it looking as stock as possible, because while you can make them look more badass, I love her too much and have so many memories in her as she is

Spyder Halo head lights (eBay). Raptor liner Tintable kit with spray gun (Amazon) and watch TH-cam how to prep and apply. Grill (eBay). 52” curved light bar (Amazon) Light bar brackets are custom but you can buy some on eBay. Torsion bar and shackle lift (eBay) Falken Wildpeak A/TW3 265/75R16 tires Led tail lights (eBay)
I did 3 light coats, the third being the heaviest as that was my final coat (only heavy on the areas where I could tell there would be flashing). 41-47psi on the regulator.
Mine unfortunately aren’t, and I can’t remember if the bulbs are changeable but if so, that would require a ballast and not worth it. Look on eBay for some that are actually LED
Hi Roger!. I love what you did with the DD. I'd love to do same to my Durango '02, it is currently in the garage for 4 years now, been trying to find a solution but none has come. I may not have your brain but I thought I can fit in wide body kit.. Please! where can I source for the wide body kit?. 02 Durango 4.7. And I wouldn't mind if you can share the video how you made the front shape plus the grill blended into shape and the interior kits you used. I be waiting for your response. Thanks
Wow! Great eff'ing job dude! Seriously!!... I'm lowkey jealous bro LOL.. I have an 01 Durango RT with 150k miles that I wanted to do some minor mods to, so this vid really motivates me to do more.
That's an awesome video man! I have a very similar vision for my 2003 . Including the modified cargo space for my 3 dogs.I plan to lift the body 2.5 and the suspension 2.5 with some cartoon wheels/tires
first off great build... just starting a 2000 slt w 62000 original miles and need advice on tire size and if it is lifted.. really like the stance!! thanks for any help and again AWESOME!!
Paul Demercurio I’m at work and finally seeing this but when I get home I’ll get ya the tire size and lift info. The tires are the max size for stock suspension! I believe I did a 2.5” in the rear and 3.5” in the front to level it.
Love this project. I am considering something similar as well. definitely have a great guideline now..May I contact you in the future for more information and ideas.?
Hey man how did you do the mounting brackets like I have a 52 inch led curve light bar and the brackets that came with the light bar don't fit right so I need some that go in the door, I do metal fabrication so I can do it. Just seeing if you have like plans or blueprints or something thanks.
Victor Lopez I ordered a “billet style” grill on amazon, ordered some flexible LED lighting, cut out the metal mesh to the shape I wanted, painted it how in wanted, then made the lettering and put in together.
Did your durango come with third row seats? Where did you get that second storage lid behind row 2? If you fabricated it could you explain the build process?
How are the lights, I’m interested in replacing mine but am wary of aftermarket projectors. Got some for a Pontiac grand am and they were a headache to install cause I had to modify the headlight brace pretty heavily.
Christoph Lujan they’ve been on for about 4 months and the outer and inner lenses are still like brand new. The clear plastic sealer (like hard melted plastic that seals the housing to the outer lens) that runs along the perimeter have turned a yellowish color but it’s not very noticeable. Overall they are nicely constructed and adjustable. I ran the halos to their own switch which also includes the grill lights and halos on the fog lights. Look up 1997-2003 Durango Spyder headlights is on eBay
Christoph Lujan to be honest I haven’t had stock lights for about ten years and can’t remember. I did have to adjust mine, and they are average. You should look into whether you can do LEDs in them. I did the research a bit ago and it seems you can. They should come with bulbs so search on amazon for the LED equivalent. Side by side with my 2019 Challenger, which does have LED’s, the stock bulbs illuminate the street about the same spread but less intensity.
Sick truck! I don't know which is better, the truck mod or the song choice.
You da man! Thanks!

I did 3 light coats, the third being the heaviest as that was my final coat (only heavy on the areas where I could tell there would be flashing). 41-47psi on the regulator.
Sick beast!!
What roof racks did you buy? I cant find ones that fit 😩
This inspired to get mine restored and redone 👍🏼 great job!
awesome video bro! Team Gen 1 Durango!
That’s right, forever and always!
I’ve been trying to find some fog lights like that are they full led?
Mine unfortunately aren’t, and I can’t remember if the bulbs are changeable but if so, that would require a ballast and not worth it. Look on eBay for some that are actually LED
Man would you consider making another grill like that and sale it i need that grill that's badass
Where can i get your head lights from? I want to do a similar build because it looks dope.
Ebay, look up Durango Spyder headlights
Great job
Where did you get that grille with the dodge logo on it, please I want to know how you did the halo lights on the grill
Love this project. I am considering something similar as well. definitely have a great guideline now..May I contact you in the future for more information and ideas.?

Question
Where did you find the grill
Thanks@
Victor Lopez I ordered a “billet style” grill on amazon, ordered some flexible LED lighting, cut out the metal mesh to the shape I wanted, painted it how in wanted, then made the lettering and put in together.
Hey hows it going i purchased lights but had a gap where fender was any advice to fill it
Did your durango come with third row seats? Where did you get that second storage lid behind row 2? If you fabricated it could you explain the build process?
Did u do the grill
This was awesome!!
Glad you liked the transformation!
Where did you get those Headlights
Victor Lopez eBay, they are Spyder’s
@@Cpennington57 Thanks
Chris The Hobbyist how’s the light output vs stock
Christoph Lujan to be honest I haven’t had stock lights for about ten years and can’t remember. I did have to adjust mine, and they are average. You should look into whether you can do LEDs in them. I did the research a bit ago and it seems you can. They should come with bulbs so search on amazon for the LED equivalent. Side by side with my 2019 Challenger, which does have LED’s, the stock bulbs illuminate the street about the same spread but less intensity.
Chris The Hobbyist thx
What paint was used for this beautiful transformation!
Raptor Liner by UPOL, awesome stuff! Prep and spray on yourself!
This makes me want to get a 1st gen Durango or 2nd gen Dakota
