But some OP from JA says it is not full duplex. So you can not listing on UHF and transmitting at the same time on VHF. This is really bad because this function is necessary for SAT operation. While transmitting, the RX of the 2nd band is switched off.
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones Correct. However my question is, is your text correct or not? You wrote: "true simultaneous dual-band operation". That is suggesting you can transmit and receive simultanously on two different bands. However OPs from Japan are denying it. So what are your information and source? Thanks a lot for replay.
An 818 with Processor would be a good upgrade and at a price that is more than suitable but there's no chance. They all have to make a very expensive radio with all the bells and whistles where many people would be and are, quite happy with the 818.
I am sure it is not a replacement for the 817, they are completely different purpose the two transceivers and I think to try to compete to icom ic 705 and the xiegu x6200...all the best
Very much nowt it will come with the atu .just another way to get more money out of the public. Im in th market for a qrp set up so just just waiting to see it when it hits the UK .
the 817ND was new for 550€, the FTX-1F as a replacement will be 1000€. it would surprize me if they aren't building the same cheap low quality commerical A/D-Converter into it like they have into the 710 and all their other SDRs, that is not worth that high price, it will never sound that good like the Icom IC-705. who knows maybe they make a very good radio, surprize me with that.
Totally disagree this will be a best seller they will be adding wifi it's in the new specs with 4 meters also being added it's also completely useable for satellites as you can either create memory channels or use split mode .
But one thing is certain, before you buy a Xiegu 6200 for almost 1000€, the Yaesu is the better choice!
Yes easily
Thanks for showing the photograph of the front panel of the
FT1F
No prob
2025 It will be Yaesu's year. 73!
I feel also.ICOM have lots new products

Name the radios that can do this ?

True
I can’t wait for this radio to come out. I’m a Yaesu guy and want a new QRP rig.

Yes be interesting
Hope it's cheaper than the 705!
No be same
The joke is that it is the successor of the 817 / 818 where the price was well under 1000€ and the successor sorry for 6 Watt ? I'll buy the new 710
But no VHF UHF
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones yes the 817/ 818 have 2 m and 70 cm

The 710 is an amazing set
Just from inflation in looks like 550 Euros in 2004 is about 850 Euros in 2024, so 1000 isn’t as much of a leap as it seems.
Not full duplex for Sat operation and no wifi will make folks keep 705 over it.
