Happy you enjoy the content Celeste , one day at a time just going with the flow . Glad I could shed some more light on the land of enchantment . I love New Mexico so wild and diverse people and places !
Dude, good to see the vid:) mos def inspirational! I did a couple seasons salmon etc. up in Alaska too… good times:) dude, I’d love to plan a trip together sometime next year. I’m planning on heading out to Afton canyon in the Mojave in January:) I could pick you up! 🚙
I'm 6'4" as well and I just bought the Durston X-Mid 1 pro (dyneema) blows away the Altaplex. You should consider making the switch. Their customer service is great. I've had problems with Zpacks customer service as well.
Ah my bad , thanks for the solid packs over the years man still rockin the apex and mtn drifter. Not a single tear in stitching and by far the comfiest packs I’ve used so far along my travels , YAR!
I’m 6’3 and I find having to choose between my head or my feet touching in the duplex, is the alta plex better about this? Congrats on the route, that’s a crazy feat man
Altaplex with a single pole proped in middle of tent provides more head and foot room , the duplex lacks because of the two pole setup as the pitch of tent is at a steeper angle . Altaplex would be a great fit for you the tepee style of the Altaplex pitches further outward providing more room . If you can wait a few days I’ll have a Altaplex gear review so you can get a better idea
@@walkingtapeworm8454 great info brotha I appreciate it. One of my doors failed on the pct and I’m looking around now, seams are leaking too, but it’s old. I’ll be looking forward to that gear review
I'm getting to the point in my life when I'm going to be living on my savings and I want to be living on the trail a lot. Great to see someone going so minimal. Thanks for the info.
Best of luck mate , “the trail provides” in some of the most unexpected ways mentally, physically, spiritually .keepin the pack light will help ya enjoy any trail a lot more , no one wants a burden on their back
YO! That viewer did some late night math .I was off a little on the weigh but I keep electronics bag , filter , lighter , stove in my Fanny with that off my pack I’m around 7.4 lbs . And pole in hand 6lb lol Had to make another vid and resolution was off haha
@walkingtapeworm8454 Those are a real workout , and at times scary, grew up not far from there, used to bow hunt there as well. You be careful, lots of mountain lion, bear, elk. I know you've been through alot in Colorado, but that range is different. Especially Mt. Lindsey. Be very safe my dude 🙏 I'm sure it changed some over the years, lots of developments in some areas, not sure if the ski area is still in Cuchara, with the Spanish Peaks. I did answer your email with my address 👍
Wow! Your still going!!
Love watching you hike. You just flow. Your Grand Enchantment Trail videos showed me parts of New Mexico I haven’t seen. Enjoy Steamboat.
