This is my 2nd long-form video, so I'm still figuring out a lot of things, but I hope you enjoyed it and learnt something new! Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions :)

I made my own card wallet about the same time as yours. It looks similar, but also have aluminium foil inside to block the chip from the outside. I hand sewed the elastic band myself with a needle and some thin thread

Great video. I'm surprised it didn't get much views (yet). Keep it up!

Excellent video. I might just choose from all the electronics that I have that are ready for the dump, remove the screws, and just use that!

I designed a 3D printable minimalist wallet then made it in wood, I first had to make my own hardwood ply from thin veneers (although I've since found out you can but this type of ply for model making (apparently) - if interested you can see on my channel - I wont post a link as I'm not trying to promote - BTW I found it was beneficial to melt the ends of the elastic to stop fraying. My wallet is still the favourite project I've done. :-) Thanks for posting the video.

You should try to anodize the aluminum. It's something you can do at home relatively cheaply and it will help prevent scratching while allowing for the addition of color if that's your thing.

You wont neccessarily decrease price by decreasing material the stock comes in incramental sizes and milling time also counts for price

If you simplify the design of the the outer shell, it probably could be done with sheet metal.
