A Round Will Get ya Down, but A Square Will Get ya There!! Can't even begin to think what those landings were like (probably hard) No flare it looked like!
I laugh at these, those guys were the true Guinea pigs of free fall. I was a student in the mid 70s, those were our student rigs, until we were qualified to jump “high performance” para-commanders, and then squares. You due PLF correctly, on the round, then you get to try a stand up on the PC.. Even the packs were heavy, then they came out with “piggy backs”. All that modern stuff, now looks ancient. The free fall style has changed immensely, from belly down, and “tricks” to free flying and in door free fall. I cherish the days.
