Idk about Zappa and Dylan but Wilson didn't see any talent in The Velvets lol. He literally walked out of the studio when they were recording Sister Ray because he said it sounded horrible lmao😭
@@jkam2393 The man who purportedly walked out of the studio during the Sister Ray sessions was not Wilson, but rather recording engineer Gary Kellgren.
@@jkam2393 I doubt that was the case. But i heard he wanted to get with Nico. Which was probably some of why he wanted her to sing a lot of the songs on the first album. I vaguely remember reading or hearing Lou say something disrespectful about Wilson but cant remember the details. And he never praises Wilson, he always praises only Andy for the first album in interviews. But thats probably because Wilson wouldnt of heard of them if not for Andy. But Lou did admit Wilson really produced the album. But i dont think Lou liked the sound of the first album anyways, at least that was stated in a biography about him.
Welsh accents are great. When I visited England 21 years back I had a long conversation with 2 children from Wales on the plane ride, they were inquisitive and smart. Their Mom asked if they were bugging me, I said "Not at all, this is great!"
Just discovered Tom Wilson and want to find out more on this guy. This is guy is the epitome of cool when it comes to working with talented people! Any more books or videos on this gentleman?
kinda one of the the lesser egotistical people who by all means deserved to have one, Lou acts accordingly with the person he's interacting with. Mr. Wilson was very open and warm with Lou so that was just the vibe overall. ☮️
The host is super stoned damn. He cracks himself up at every sentence. It's a little much.... Its hard for me to focus on the intention of this interview.
This interview is so 60's. You can almost hear the creativity and enthusiasm and cool oozing out of everybody's pores.
Tom Wilson was an amazing producer. zappa,VU,and Dylan amazing trio of alt giants. You can hear Wilson's love for their talents just beaming.

The Welsh butt, we have the best accents in the world 🏴

The vibes r so pleasant
Fabulous! Tbh, I'd love to have heard this in its entirety - period adverts are pretty damn interesting. Thanks for the share.
youtube took unedited version down, but left this one up.
interviewer is one warm cool ass cat
The band's producer, Tom Wilson.
If Wilson had his way he would have given everything to the VU...this is a major historic document...RIP Reed and Wilson
John Cale's south Wales accent is quite pronounced here.
Ammanford, near Swansea
that was incredible!

He became addicted to heroin and got Clean..... u must haven't ever had to crawl out of the dark before. It makes u bitter and it takes your soul...
"crawling out of the dark" makes you a selfish jackass? doesn't sound like "crawling out" to me...sounds like "in the midst" if anything.
Lou really became more antagonistic towards interviewers after 1973 when Berlin was rejected by everyone.
