    It’s really interesting how you’re both starting to get different accents.

    06:40: arrrggh always shaking my fist at this avoidable constant calamity
    09:33: "is this supposed to stay on your head?" hah
    Fun facts: the Tasman Peninsula has the tallest sea cliffs in the southern hemisphere, ranging in height from 2 to 3 Sydney-Harbour-Bridges stacked on top of each other;
    On our Highlands we have an endangered tree called the cider gum (Eucalyptus gunnii, named for Ronald Gunn) which has been used for up to 40,000 years to make cider and syrup (as well as medicinal purposes);
    The Australian raven will not hurt you, and their calls which personify moods across southern Australia will grow on ya. However, the Torresian crow (our only crow) is found in northern Australia.
    Sometimes the coolbardie (Australian magpie, no relation) will make a crow-like barking call, but have a variety.
    _cheers_

    Those crows are actually ravens. Thus the difference in size and sound from what Ashleigh's brother expected.

      @@coffeeenut In Brisbane winter extended all the way into spring and partially into summer. I can't remember it being so cold for so long (cold being relative though).

    So glad you got to spend quality time with your family and show them around.🙂. And yay for proper bagels for you from America...and sorry about the Tassie ones lol 😆🥯. I've had some nice ones in Sydney BUT I don't know if I'm a good judge as my experience is limited!
    So crazy seeing it still cold there during Christmas. A few years ago Christmas in Australia was heatwaves in most places. Even where I am in South east Qld at the moment, it was barely 23 over Christmas and the cool air made it feel colder than that. And the evenings are still cool here.
    Where is summer!? Lol.
    We definitely have some unique and noisy birds here in Australia. Has your brother heard a Kookaburra yet? They sometimes freak the tourists out 😂

    We did the ghost tour at Port Arthur. A friend asked the guide if she'd ever seen anything she told us that she had (can't remember the number) I'll say 12 people. They do a head count when they leave an area she told us she counted 13. The extra was dressed in the coffee shop uniform of the one that burned down.

      @@coffeeenut it creeped me out. They talk about that so I was extremely surprised when she said that. I must admit since my father passed away I'm less sceptical.

    Oh no not another Bagelgate! 😂Hey sorry we had to put on such a horrible start to summer (same here in Sydney) but things have finally warmed up around the east coast in the last few days. Hope the family have enjoyed their stay so far!
