Hi, thanks for using my mod and for the great shoutout! While watching your video, I noticed you had an issue with the Surface overlapping roads and sidewalks unnecessarily. I’m already working on an update to address this. I’ll be adding a new version of the Surface that doesn’t extend over roads and sidewalks, which should solve this problem. Additionally, I’m working on a new feature - the mosaic will also be available as a decal, giving you even more options for detailed customization. I’ll update this reply once the changes are live, which should be soon, as I’m committed to continuously improving the mod, just like with the recent texture quality updates. By the way, the “Seventy” is based on an official name from “manual of Prague sidewalks”, where the pattern measures 70 cm x 70 cm in real life. :) Thanks again for your support!
OCD comment coming: @Biffa, when you upgraded the median roads in the district it moved the traffic lanes into the roundabouts and so the brick decals are misaligned. It still looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing (my laptop could never handle this kind of computing power)
I think some of those blank walls would in reality have windows in, usually bathrooms and kitchens face the courtyards, might not be that easy to do in game though.
If you look at the bridge between Bangor North Wales and Anglesey then you'll see a bridge that is just as short but just as grand! I think you should keep the bridge!
I'm loving the giant grafitti so much!! I wish you put more cause they're gorgeous. It's something that I see everyday in my city of Besançon (France). It adds so much beauty to a concrete town
41:34 -- the surfaces in the roundabouts got messed up after putting int he middle grass section to the toads. The cars are driving on the cobble-stone texture.
😍 That looks pretty good! The roundabouts came out very pretty - I wish all of them looked like that in urban setting. Lovely to see the game evolve towards what we've all wanted out of it, too.
Biffa - watching you try to get all the roofs match each other 24:00 reminds me of your template picture from Germany. Very few of the roofs in real life actually match the building next to them.
This is really nice ! One thing that I would add is to "re-alive" those blank walls on buildings. I am in Europe and I have never seen building that is on "back side" only blank, and even if it is there are big advertisements covering most of blank space.
Hi Biffa, love the series, the 'pedestrianised' roundabouts could perhaps have some seating for cafes on each corner (similar to Barcelona) paired with either corner parking or garbage collection to add variety to each roundabout
I love the detailing! 🫖 I’m from Sweden and I would love to see some areas inspired by swedish archipelago if possible. Either in this city or going forward. 😅
I think the grand bridge would need sea walls with walkways and lots of buildings along each side of the river to make sense, otherwise it looks a bit silly
This kind of area would definitely have a dog walking service within each apartment block... The realism you didn't realize CS2 gave you or in fact you even needed!
I was wondering if you could anarchy something like the Krämerbrücke (Merchant's Bridge) in Erfurt - a Middle Age bridge surrounded by timber frame houses sitting on the bridge with the cobble stone road in the middle.
Maybe swap out the planters with small bushes at the roundabouts for the garden lights that you used as a bollard? Make the pedestrians more visible at night.
Gorgeous episode. 5 minutes in, i had to stop watching on my phone to continue watching on my Xbox while eating my lunch. The level of detail is ridiculous but amazing as usual Biffa. I'm really enjoying this series 👍
That bridge must have been there longer than some of the buildings. You wouldn't spend that much effort making such a beautiful bridge in that area today, but maybe in a different era. You can justify it with a little story like that lol.
It's so funny every person that has a dog seems to have 4 or 5 at the same time 😂😂 I saw at least 3 different people with 4 or 5 dogs in the first ten minutes !
I'm not sure I'd have the patience for this, but I'm thrilled to see what's possible in the game. I have renewed hope that I can move to CS2 and continue to enjoy the game! Thanks for taking the time and effort to work with the designers -- I know you did that on behalf of us all. I'm just glad it's paying off in the quality and direction of the new version.
Detailing live stream is the future... Once a month with a bowl of chicken wings and an ice cold lemonade... We can make some *very* helpful suggestions about what kind of images should be on the ends of buildings...
I think he might be able to make it work if he gets the other part to be a grand bridge too. If he expands the area in a similar style and with a big park and some larger buildings leading up to the downtown area it could fit
🍜🫖 Great work Biffa! The think for me is that bridge looks nice but when I think of what it would cost to build a section of a bridge like that I don't think any city would actually want to build it just for such a short span. just my opinion I could be wrong of course.
🍵 I have to wonder as havent tried, can you drag select/delete the decal over the parking lot to reveal the parking lot itself? Or would it wipe out the parking lot? Or the whole decal? If it messes up the Parking lot its easy to delete and replace.
P.S. After 250k population cannot keep CS2 running long enough to try these things. Crashes to the desktop every 5 minutes. Makes no sense even when I turn the CPU clock down to 3Ghz and overclock the video.
Mr Biffa Sir, When you popped the benches around the fountain, why not put 2 back to back, so you can have one facing the fountain and one facing away. Would be nice.
Great stuff but turning the main boulevard through the old town into a semi-lethal car park? When do you begin your employment in the Edinburgh Roads Dept Biffa? LOL.... Gotta say it looks really nice though! Sweet beans... (non-Heinz... probably Jelly...) and love those Muriels! UK pack incoming too...
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines Your dissection in the detail is worth it. I've been following you for over 2 years and I enjoy the range of creativity. We see the development and realization. Keep it up
☕🍵... Because I love coffee lol This just looks amazing and I'm dreading the public transport going in. Its running so well now, having a look at the traffic next time would be fascinating.
I know that you had a mod list for cities skylines 1, do you have something similar for cities skylines 2? It would be really helpful, since I'd like to know some of the mods and props you use.
Maybe not on this city. But i think an Amsterdam style city could be amazing with the French, German and British (when it comes) packs. Loads of canals in the old city that leads to a newer city, a little bit like Canary wharf. 🤘🇩🇪🇬🇧🇫🇷
I don’t know what to comment… Edit: you could call birdsong mills “Vogelmühlen” it’s pretty much the exact translation of birdsong mills and it sounds very German as a German myself I should know 😅
Frankly, I wouldn't say I like the stains over the brick paving because it looks unrealistic. I live in Prague, and we have those everywhere. I never saw them as "filthy and damaged" as you made them, even in cases where they are not maintained at all. That really does NOT look real.

Fantastic. Thankyou for the mods and I'm looking forward to the updates. Great work 👍😁
Hi All! I Updated my mod with same Surfaces designs, but without overlap! :) Overlap surfaces have "Overlap" in icon.
Thank you!

I'll take a look thankyou 😊
PLEASE FIX THAT! It bothered me so much, lol@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines
I think some of those blank walls would in reality have windows in, usually bathrooms and kitchens face the courtyards, might not be that easy to do in game though.
There is actually a decal pack that has doors and windows that would be great for this. Good idea 👍
yes i agree, i think those picture doesn’t go with classic European theme
Would be so nice if the population can interact with the benches and stuff we place. Would be such an huge upgrade. 😍
If you look at the bridge between Bangor North Wales and Anglesey then you'll see a bridge that is just as short but just as grand! I think you should keep the bridge!
Then I shall 😁
Not gonna lie Biffa, that does genuienly look as if I just looked out of my window..well done sir!

I'll fix thankyou 👍
The surfaces around the roundabouts got messed up when you changed the roads
I love the tile on the roundabouts, and the staining makes it look like a real old European city. Great job!
Thank you very much!

True!
You should remove the fence around the playground next to Lauris lentils to allow for easier access from the cafe
👍
Incredible work with the detailing. It really adds a feeling of it being a lived-in city.
This is really nice ! One thing that I would add is to "re-alive" those blank walls on buildings. I am in Europe and I have never seen building that is on "back side" only blank, and even if it is there are big advertisements covering most of blank space.

lower the land under the bridge and make one long bridge ...!
A name for Birdsong Mills could be "Brewsong Mills"? Loving the videos! Currently watching this series and also binge watching Blightea on the would!
The surfaces on the roundabouts are brilliant 😍 I love your enthusiasm when discovering new options.
Thanks so much! 😊
8:29 there's a guy walking five dogs

That diagonal parking was exactly chef kiss on what the area needed
Oh I really enjoy the detailing episodes! And the bridge looks GREAT! Its a good statement peace for the new area.
Finally detailing in cities 2!
Indeed!
Awesome build Biffa, thanks for the great detailing ideas
The cat eye murals "Feline" great! Wonderful work, mate. Love it.
Many thanks!
Please a huge airport next. Really waiting for it.
I really miss the airport dlc from CS1. I’m hopeful that when assets are available we start to see some new airport designs.
Chicago has bridges like that over short spans :) short doesn't mean it can't be pretty and detailed.
at 41:43 there’s a big back of a building looking at us - maybe some grafiti on there would look good?
Everyone wants to sponsor you now, you do it so good!

The tree median side streets you added removed parking and widened the travel lanes. You should modify them to re-add the parallel parking
Don't think I've ever seen you focus on such a tiny area for solo long😂😂 looks good

9:46 the amount of dogs one person has is a little odd

Loving the 80’s synth vibe!
At 8:32 that one person with five dogs going into the apartment building. They must be really annoying to live next to.😂
😅
You should change the direction of some of the tables with the small cafe you built around 11:00
with all the feline wall art it's becoming a Kitea Kat Town
Oh no! They are driving on the bricks on one roundabout at the end. Looks stunning mate, worth the time invested for sure!
😁
Is this the episode where we've finally forgot how hard the birth of CS2 was?
3:39 / 3:40 first person camera mod could've made it so you could run through the bridge properly
☕ looks great! Really love the new region packs!❤

Not an emoji, but did realise I was watching Biffa whilst sipping from my Biffa ' cool beans' mug!
Now that deserves a cookie! Fantastic 👍😁
3:45 the style is good but the water being so shallow and clear makes it feel out of place, if you made the water deeper it would look much better
id love a 1up or Berlin kidz type on the plaza area where the back of the building is so doesnt feel so empty and gray.
This was amazing 👏 the place feels so alive

Details in Love! Greets from Germany.😊
The roundabout I go through has a water fall / fountain in it. I'm not sure if it's possible to make your own in the middle of the roundabout.
Got a name idea for your uk city. How about 'Tealy' in reference to a town near me called Ely. Beautiful place, beautiful architecture
think the game crash will teach you to save after every thing you do or before you do something else
I do, auto every 5 mins and manual when I've done something big or difficult. Still a pain though 😅
@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines I know you do save it from time to time and have auto save as well
@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines Ever think maybe it is the autosave that crashes the game? Games survives longer when I turn it off but inevitably crashes.
Love the content and the build as always!! Cheers! ☕️🫖
So kind, thankyou ☺️
amazing, i love this, i love your ideas!

For motorist to enjoy driving over the grand bridge it needs to be longer. the drive is very short.
☕🍵Another Great Video!
Thanks again!
Can you make a Dutch town? Would love to see a small area dedicated to your Dutch subs
The neighbourhood should be called Altneu-Brauberg
Heej Biffa, Are you using a cam mod or first person cam to get so close to the ground?
Normal cam mostly and first person cam sometimes 👍
