Just saw it in Hebrew. It was much, much better by far than I expected. Just after finishing looked to see who the actors are and was quite shocked. One I know of since he is also a real Chasid in life. The actor who played the Rebbe was perfect.That Rebbe is the spiritual leader of a small group while there are Chasidic groups of hundreds of thousands of people too. For the role of a Rebbe with few Chasidim I thought for sure he was a Chasid himself who could act well but I was suprised! Melech was amazing in that role. The main role of Shira was so modest and authentic as the role needs and she did it truthfully. The Chasidic man the main role was very good but being of Chasidim I saw a few signs that he wasn't quite getting it .The Mother was great. The film had me enthralled and very happy. Normally as a Chasid I hate to see poor acting misrepresenting us but the film in every way was full of emotion and real depth. The director B"H is wonderful to have done this film.
