    The only thing that bothered me was that the module in the women's watch has a slight bronze-ish tint to match the face of the watch better and it was not the same 'default' calculator colour screen found in the original module. Subscribed.

      Yeah and swapping the LCD wasn't possible because they had different shapes. Cheers, Tibi

      Vintage Digital Watches that's a very nice watch citizen made better quality watches than casio, I have a temp ana digi citizen from that era I bought in 1982 I was 17 it cost me 25 pounds gold plated still working.

      @derek storey wrong. CASIO made better digital timepieces than Citizen. CASIO timepieces are more protected than most timepieces price for PRICE.

    Ok, the wath arrived! Put a new battery in and it works(old battery was put in upside down...no wondern it didnt worked :)))) )
    Everything works except the calculator touch pad. TV remote ect all is working but not the calculator.
    I had this before on another casio calculator watch, where ive replaced the battery and some kind of "black rubber/plastic" piece flew out of the watch housing. I didnt knewed how or where to place it and from there on the touch pad never responded anymore.
    Here on tis TV watch i hadnt seen this "black piece"! Should there be one? Or what else could be the problem, that the touch pad dont respond? Ive did the AC reset succesfully and the watch showed @. Thanks

      Hi, I have never worked on a casio remote control watch so I can't help you, check if the keybad is linked to the module via a zebra strip and try cleaning that.

    • @gaboaaa23

      @@VintageDigitalWatches zebra strip! So thats the name of that little black piece. Ok will look if i see something strage. Thanks

      @@VintageDigitalWatches Ok ive just desambled the watch! Seems like there is some zebra strip missing that connects the mainboard right?
      Ive marked it for you with a question mark where i think the zebra strip is missing in my opinion.

    I have a question for you. Where do you get your pusher gaskets? Do you know of a cheap source? Thanks, PaulPS Keep making videos, I like your overhaul vids the best.

    • @VintageDigitalWatches
      @VintageDigitalWatches  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Paul, I get my pusher gaskets from eBay, just do a search with "watch oring" and you'll see results with small sets of hundreds of gaskets in around 10 or 20 sizes. They will run you a max of 10 USD. Thank you for the comment on the videos, Cheers :)

      Thanks, now I can afford to change the gaskets in my watches.

      It is probably due to the size of the video, I upgraded the camera, try to select a lower quality from settings. Hopefully that works :)

      Did you try replacing the battery and resetting the module?

  • @MichaelReitberger1983

    Very creative solution. But in fact you have a non original TM-100 for 400 bucks right? Wouldnt buy one more watch from your japanese seller.

    • @VintageDigitalWatches
      @VintageDigitalWatches  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, if you take it as bear as possible you are right about it being not quite original. But I will change the capacitors as usually that is a very common culprit. The integrated circuit is usually a reliable component and does not damage that easily so I still have a hope. As for my friend in Japan I don't blame him as he gave me all the details he was able to, so I am still grateful for his help.
