Hi, congrats for the amazing videos presented to us, could you please make a video showing us when a module is broken (measured with a multimeter or some other instrument)? and not repairable, and when a screen is to be thrown away LCD?
Thanks a lot, man! This was the first Video with a hint for the solution of my problem with the stuck pushers of my vintage Casio W-53. Before, I just didn't know how to loosen and disassemble them. Now it works fine. Unfortunately, I scratched a bit of the black inner display painting, but at least I can use the watch now. Great video! Take Care
Hello, you have given me some inspiration to revisit some of my Casio & Seiko modules which aren't working and investigate further to see if I can make them function again. Electronics being my profession I am quite at home using an oscilloscope and multimeter etc, just need more patience and to take my time with these fiddlily things! Corrosion is such a pain but you seem to have good luck in revivng modules. Am really enjoying your videos and keep up the great work and have subscribed to your channel ☺
hello, in your video at 13:54 I saw a plastic box with rubber gaskets for WATCH PUSHERS. Could you tell me where you buy them? I can't find them on the Internet, probably because of my English. Also, if it's not a secret, where did you buy the silver paint? Sincerely, Alexander
I've got a Casio (Module 5082) that someone had buggered the battery clip on. No amount of working with the clip will get it to hold. Well at least I found a work around for this. What you need is something that when you close the battery back it presses down on the battery clip and holds it in place. I've found a furniture leg stick on works fairly well. Remove the adhesive backing and press it down centered on the battery clip. The real problem is getting it just tight enough to hold down the battery at the same time allowing you to firmly attach the watch case back.
Hi,please, what number of sandpaper do you use for glass? And what is the name of the final polishing powder? Thank you very much and I look forward to more videos. Do you have any video instructions for polishing glass?
Thank you for the video I bought a 95qs-42, I didn't make an accurate inspection, try to simply change battery a BR 2320 and put a classic CR2016. The display is showed only if I press the light, stay on for 3/4 seconds then fade away. Other buttons seem not to have effects, only the light button (the light works). Thank you
Hi I have casiotro 06-504 and it doesnt wokr. I cleaned with alcohol but nothing. I suppose that a old battery damage the watch... any idea what can I do? thanks
Nice work. Hey, I have a 1980 Casio H104 Melody Alarm. I'm missing a pusher (button). Do you think the watch here and others of the period use the same pusher? Also the glass screen has a crack so I'm looking to replace that, but that will need to come from another H104. So I guess I'm on the look out for another broken H104 with a nice screen.
Can you still get glass for Casio I think mine was a 78/79 rectangular similar to this watch but the edges stuck out a bit more where the strap would go, worth any money in working condition
Good day sir. Im watching your Content right now. I will ask what is the possible problem of my wacth. I thought that is a battery replacement but when I check the battery is in good condition.however the monitor has no display.....
Great video! I got casio module 122, s004. After cleaning, and put new battery, AC several times, the microlight working, but the lcd still dead. I have no idea what happened. I think the lcd is broken.
Hi Ganda, the module of the watch should have 2 lines that go the battery, check with a multimeter if those lines show continuity to the battery pads then the modules get power. If the module has power and still nothing on the LCD then it is either the module or the LCD. If you have access to an Oscilloscope you can check if either of the lines going to the LCD show a square signal, if they do, then it is indeed the LCD. Regards, Tibi
Li have two old stock casio watch..and it is not working..i tried to repair but cant..i would love u to repair it..but i think it is impossible..im from malaysia
Stunning video Tiberiu… Mostly amazed how well you can remember where all the parts go for the reassembly, thanks the lord for the camera phone 🙂 Anyway, my qstn is does it matter which way round the zebra strips are replaced after removal? Great channel, I’m finding it very useful 👍
I would make a rule that it matters which side of the zebra was on the LCD and which on the board. This is because on the board the traces have a raised profile which during the years will shape the zebra strip with some ridges, the side that goes on the LCD is perfectly flat. On some watches it may not matter because the pressure from the LCD retainers will make sure any misshapes in the zebra strip are accounted for but on some it may matter.
Thank you very much for your nice help then I'll try it out the cerium oxide I have too. Really nice of you. yesterday, unfortunately, a Casio A203 (Blue Thunder) when polishing with the oxide powder first heard Glass has probably become too hot and jumped :-(
I have the same. After heavy cleaning and remaking negative, it works. Just a strange problem. It only works with the light button pressed, so I disconected the lamp. Have you ever had this case? Greets from Argentina.
Hey Tiberiu, i‘ve got a problem with two Casio Watches: They function like normal with a new battery, but after some hours the batteries are completely drained. I‘ve heard of that issue from someone else too. The problem was the displaylight, which was continuously on. But my watches do not have a displaylight. Do you have a suggestion, what could be wrong?
Hi Michael, what models are the watches and are they identical? Second, it might be a number of issues, like a short on the battery, or a defective part on the watch's board, etc. I can't tell you for sure unless you give me more detail and maybe send a pic of the watches with their back-cover removed. And we can move this conversation to vintagedigitalwatches@gmail.com
Hi Tiberiu, someone gave me the same watch with similar problems. When I separated the circuit board from the module, a very small spring fell out. I noticed in your video the same spring sitting loose inside the watch as you removed the complete assembly. Are you able to tell me: 1) Where is this spring fitted? 2) What is its purpose? Thanks and regards.
Hi not sure if I am answering your question below but here goes. The watch has 6 springs, 4 for each of the buttons, and another two for the battery terminals. Inside the battery bay you have the bigger one that has a rectangular shape and another on the side. I assume your's is the one on the side that picks up the + from battery. Regards.
@@VintageDigitalWatches Please check your video and as you pull the module out from the housing, the small coil spring is sitting inside the housing, resting on the inside glass display. Please advise.
It is a casino 834 trw corona football watch I bought it from a bootsale so I have no instruction on how to use it either which would be helpful it's in nice condition with the original strap
Fantastic video very informative. Can I ask - did you put the watch module casing into the ultrasonic cleaner, or just the strap? (I'm wondering if it's safe to put the whole watch in, with module removed of course) thanks
Athough some do it, I don't recommend putting the watchmodule in the ultrasonic As for the case you can but watch out what solvemts you use in the cleaner as it may remove the wroting on the dial. Aslo diassemble evrything, you don't want watter trapped in the button holes.
Hi, I would either have to reopen the watch or you would have to look in the video if there is a moment where you can see the inscription on the battery, and I believe there is. Regards, Tibi

Hi, I have never see n a repair manual for this watch.
Hello, what sort of grit does the sandpaper have?
Super work makes me happy again and again as you bring back the old clocks. Thank you
