Why Am I Still Sick? The Silent Role of Biofilms in Chronic Disease (Full Movie)

  • This film explores bacterial biofilm infections and how they cause debilitating illnesses for tens of millions of Americans. People with “sub-clinical infections” suffer for months, years or even decades; others will lose life or limb because of the failure to treat chronic wounds or hospital acquired infections. More than 550,000 patients lose their lives annually because of hospital infections and twice that number will acquire sepsis. The majority of hospital infections involve bacterial biofilms and affect every area of specialized medicine and every part of the human body.
Paradoxically, the applications of biofilm eradication methods are slow to propagate into the many silos of western medicine. With patients and doctors in the dark about what is truly causing chronic diseases, millions of people remain undiagnosed and are denied effective treatments for their medical problems.
This ground-breaking documentary explores a new disease model on a scientific and human level. This film leverages interviews from top clinical experts with patients affected by bacterial biofilms to reach as wide an audience as possible. By breaking down complex topics of biofilm infections to a human level, showing staggering statistics, and using high quality animations, the message becomes accessible, compelling and obvious: biofilm infections are a gargantuan problem that has been overlooked by American society, and we as a nation are paying a terrible price.
However, with the advent of new molecular diagnostics, and a new way to understanding disease, Americans can effectively catalyze credible healthcare change by sharing this information that helps eliminate needless suffering, save lives and reduce the costs of health care.

This is an incredible, educational video on bio films and failure of much of the medical field to cure patients. There are so many patients suffering chronic, embedded uti’s, and it’s very difficult finding a Doctor who will actually treat us with full strength, long-term antibiotics. It took two years, but my fabulous urologist finally cured my Embedded infection. He used PCR/DNA testing to see what bacteria I had, that normal urine cultures missed. Before I found him, I was a couch potato with no energy and praying to die. Life just isn’t worth living when you’re sick 24/7. Many UTI patients believe it is the urology, governing boards that are preventing our doctors from treating us properly. I even wonder if antibiotic resistance is really caused from not treating infection long enough to get rid of it, which causes the antibiotic resistance. Anyway, thank you for this fabulous video that another UTI patient/friend sent my way.

I'm not recommending you do this or giving Medical advice. I had been tortured for over 3 years of non stop biting of small microscopic mites, lice bugs & fleas. I googled invisible bugs landing on me. A large number of other people were suffering the same thing. They found out that it was caused by MOLD in my house. This was the same thing for myself. However, eradicating the mold source, & the mold in our A.C. ducts was not enough. I started taking iodine orally. Not the typical kind from cvs, but an liquid iodine containing higher dosage mcgs. A man on Amazon sells this for morgellons. Iodine purifies the blood. I can't recommend anyone do this, but feel free to research it. It worked for me. Hugs & you can get rid of it. Too much iodine can hurt the kidneys over time, but I was ready to end my life so I took that risk & they are gone.

I've taught myself about biofilms since diagnosed with Lyme, Babesiosis, Bartonella and Mycoplasma(3x) which I've had for 20 yrs. I was extremely lucky to find a doctor that believed in months of doxy, Plaqunil, ivermetin and about 3 others. I was treated for fungus, mold, as well. Of all the info here about biofilms I was surprised there was not anything mentioned or explained about microscopic cysts which are when the spirokete roll up a hard shell ball like shape and antibiotics cannot break the shell. There are meds that can go in and break open the shell then the antibiotics can do their job.

You are lucky to have found the doctor, that is so hard to do. I was in the ICU for 9 days with babesiosis. I live in the woods and the tick population is huge. I've also had lyme.
My primary doctor believes in the 2 pills of doxycycline preventative when you get a tick.
I have seen so many different types of doctors since August.
In August I was at work and suddenly felt I was going to faint. I have dizziness, tinnitus, and large joint pain.
First they found a pituitary tumor, but that is not it. So on and so forth.
      I'm now suspecting chronic lyme.

In particular, metabolic activity and the amount of bacteria associated with disease correlated with the respective pH known to be of importance in the development of caries (relatively low pH) and periodontitis (higher pH). Modifying the pH level in oral biofilms might be an alternative concept in (primary) prevention and treatment, not only of caries but also of periodontitis."

@@ADRSupport okay but this is oral biofilm, not within tissue but external. That is a completely different story.

      • The presence of biofilms, proteases, defective ECM, and change in pH make chronic wounds very difficult to treat.
      • pH has a role to play in wound healing.
      • pH could be used as a simple tool to quickly recognize a nonhealing wound.
      • Targeting the pH and making the wound environment acidic could benefit the healing process.

@@ADRSupport again, it's about wounds. The wound is external in nature. If you have biofilm internally, as a result of previous surgery or perhaps some infection within the abdomen, joints, internal soft tissues then how on earth would you change the ph? You cannot change the internal ph of the body because it is maintained at a very specific level at all times, otherwise the organism is facing death.

@@krisztianwirsz3612 I know where you're coming from, but these papers aren't suggesting to change the bodies pH - they are describing the effects of changing the pH in the biofilms themselves. To answer your initial question, I don't think when doctors and scientists talk about this aspect of biofilm they are regarding any kind of nefarious treatments, rather how they can affect biofilms by this method.

Fungi love sugars... so honey doesn't always work.
      Echinacea helps but not enough.
      Fresh garlic worked the best.

      Why?
Because german virologist Christian Drosten suggest that SARS COV2 better replicate at very low tissue temperature (at TWiV 659 at min29)
