hi there, I have a 2011 fiesta se, had the TCM replaced two days ago, it was programmed but the person never did the adaptive learning, after trying to drive the vehicle it gave me a P2831 code, the person that programed the TCM told me an adaptive learning was not necessary, looking at your video it looks like it does, what`s your fee to do an adaptive learning and do I have to bring the car to you or can you come to our house and add the trip charge?

For the viewers, I met with Andres today. I reprogrammed his tcm and I preformed the adaptive learning. Car has to be driven to determine weather it has a mechanical issue or not. Wish him the best of luck.

@@DallasAutoDiag Thank you for all your help, drove the car to work today with no issues, glad I came across your video, every shop I called, first answer was to drop the transmission and rebuild, a $3000 to $4500 job, no one even tried to explain that an adaptive learning was needed after working on the transmission,
again , thank you, very professional and showed up in time , will recommend to other people

only with adaptive learning did it solve it? my fiesta 2013 is giving this code p2831. but when trying to do the adaptive learning it gives an error and asks to check the electrical system. could it be bad battery?

I had same code on a 2014 as well as an intermittent feeling of transmission slipping. Performed the same adaptation with A Verus and it corrected the issue. I think they lose adaption and the clutches wear.

Sometimes Forscan is very touchy on the Adaptive Learning Procedure. Make sure the car battery has the trickle charger on it to keep the battery level above 12.0 volts while doing the Forscan Diagnotics. Goof Luck :)
