I researched every drinking water system out there and after hours of research, I bought the iSpring Reverse Osmosis water filter system. It has hundreds of positive real customer reviews on Amazon and has a higher customer rating than any other system that I could find. This unit has a see-through sediment filter which allows you to easily see when it's time to change the filters. I keep track of the dates I installed my filters and monitor the water quality with my TDS (total dissolved solids) meter.
Installation took me about an hour. I had a hard time installing the line that connected to the "cold water tap" since it was tucked so far under my sink. Other than that, it was pretty easy.
