I only realized that the chorus is almost identical to KD Lang's Constant Craving's chorus after watching her interview telling how stones' lawyer contacted her to offer songwriting credit and 25% of the royalty. I have been listening to both song for roughly 3 decades 😅.
After much consideration and years of dedicated listening, I can say THIS is my favorite Rolling Stones song! It is so deeply embedded in my core. The Stones are my soulmate in music form.
Fun fact: The chorus is the same as 'Constant Craving' by K.D. Lang. They found out just before releasing the song. They couldn't figure it out as Jagger and Richards had never listened to the sing. Later, Jagger found out his daughter was a huge K.D. Lang and had been playing the song on repeat. So, he had been hearing it subliminally. I was at the special Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction exhibit at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland back in 2013. It was really cool and interesting. Saw early recording studio footage and learned alot. Rest in peace Charlie Watts. You will be missed.
