Modern Farmhouse Tinyhouse Basement Playhouse Toy Room Tour

- Trying to take the scary out of the basement and create a fun place for all of the toys to stay, I built a basement playhouse toy room that looks like a modern farmhouse tinyhouse.
The playhouse has little rooms for a doll/stuffed animal Nursery, Arts and Crafts room, Kitchen, Living Room and Reading nook under the stairs. I used shiplap for the house siding, trimmed in black, cedar and pine.

century 21 used to have a tiny full furnished house that the towed around to fairs. I used to love wandering around in it- and they gave you a tiny yellow jacket to wear too

I grew up in the 80s and had a wooden tiny house my dad built for me but only had 3 rooms, a living room, kitchen and bedroom and only 2 windows but very high ceilings that he could stand upright in. I loved it so much and my school friends would want to come over and play all the time. No way in this fancy scale but it was perfect. Amazing job on this tiny house

I really love this idea, very beautiful craftsmanship. Love the magnets and everything is organized. Even with toys everywhere it seems to be a controlled chaos.

I don't need to be a kid to play in the tiny house! I'm a short person! Besides I need a home! And I have been wanting a tiny house for a long time! I just don't know how to get one. My imagination has been going wild about how I would design it. I've been an artist & crafts person every since I was young. My grandma thought me how to sew and use my imagination to use what ever I could find to make something out of nothing. So I would like to have a room just for my arts & crafts. Right now my daughter's think I should get rid of all that because they think it's taking up to much room. But that's the only one of 2 things that makes my life worth living. Oh well! That's a thing also for poorer/less artsy/crafty parents kids. I love the diy stuff, but have no house and couldn't do this for my kids.
I wish I could. I wish I could just make play houses, dog houses, tiny houses, sheds, basic furniture, repair/fix up/repurpose furniture, cat trees and catios, cat houses, and make jewelry for a living. Also write kids books and books.

My friends parents did this at their new house they built. They turned a room downstairs into what looks like a house. Has a little porch and awning and screen door. Once inside it’s just a standard room they let them decorate however. We turned into a “classroom” because at the time we were obsessed with playing school with the kids in the neighborhood
