Great video! Random tip I learned recently: right clicking and looking around whilst ripping apart clothing (for tailoring) doesn't cancel the animation. No surprise neck bites
You watched an American man play the game to get hooked, I watched an Irish lad, CallMeKevin, play the game and thought it looked like shite... and then years later I saw other people play the game and i was like, yeah, this is cool.
I'll have you know I just turn off the jumpscare noise. Sometimes its fine, but when you're staring at a zombie through a door and it pops up the jumpscare noise when you get close anyway it annoys me
Well made vid, thanks! If you haven't given The Long Dark a try, I would highly recommend it. Like PZ, it has great Devs, an immersive world that immediately draws you in, and very fine-tuned control for sandbox settings.
Awesome video. I actually learnt a lot from you before even playing the game and a lot more after playing and dying a lot, only to now be surviving almost a year in game. I thus enjoy giving tips back to you too after seeing so much from yourself. My character is now back in the og base in muldraugh. Yep, finished with riverside, upped short blunt to 10 and now am working long blade with all of my machetes (about 12 of them across the entirety so far so I can then use those 4 sweet katanas I found in riverside). Upped long blade to 3 so far by burning only 2 machetes that were less than half durable as I like to use my most broken weapons first. That's the power of a level 9 maintenance. Just a note back on short blunt, I was going better with hammers than nightsticks. I found the hammers must have a higher crit chance. That said I do have a night stick on the belt for emergency backups and an m590 shotty on my back for extreme backups. The plan now is to clear the way to the south large mall in louiseville. Yep, I want it. I'm eying the petrol station just to the north west of it as a next base. Well, currently just made it to the dixie trailer park after clearing some wrecks from the first blockade. Time for the cleanse to continue.
Solo zomboid is great, but the game really shines when you have some friends to play with in multiplayer. Roleplaying out a scenario as a band of rag-tag survivors, reclaiming your neighborhood or going on a post-apocalyptic road trip in search of a dream base to fortify and settle. The drama when someone gets scratched or bitten, and the group has to decide how to deal with it (or the person conceals the wound and becomes a ticking time bomb). The game is only looking like it's going to get better with the inclusion of animals, deeper crafting mechanics, and towering skyscrapers and caves/basements with Build 42.
Thanks to @Drunkonlife. Here is a link to the stream that got me into Zomboid if you're curious - th-cam.com/video/RO3CTDOASzw/w-d-xo.html
Being able to make the zombies slower and only bites infect you is what finally gave me the ability to figure the game out.
The only game that gets the zombie apocalypse feel right

CallMeKevin is great, very funny content. Thanks for watching!

Do not! I repeat, Do NOT do the deaf fisherman challenge!
Have you heard of Cataclism Dark Days Ahead?
Heard of it but never played it
One thing worth mentioning, the game is still under active development with updates on the way. (Fingers crossed for b42)

The graphics and top down view is exactly why I ignored this game for so many years. Actually seeing real gameplay is what caught my interest.
Nice twist in content bro, both thumbs up 👍
Damn how tf does he only got 607 subscribers 😭🙏
When I first started playing the jumpscares would get me so bad I literally smashed my mouse and had to get a new one 🤣

I'd actually like to see attics and the inclusion of those retractable attic stairs. Those would be far better than sheet rope windows.
986 Hours strong! The game is great as is, but add some mods and this game goes hard!
I did the opposite I punished myself with the most difficult settings until I got good.
agreed
yep! i died ...died ...died .died...dyed my hair too :P you can
