Kreschmer, is truly a super cool guy. After reading several of his books, some of his many articles, podcast and live interviews. I can say he is one of the great teachers and level headed captains out there. Another super interview Andy. Jim Rodgers.
I highly recommend you read John's books. I have read all of his books twice. He is a great story teller. I would read them in chronological order, but it's not necessary to read them that way.
@@OceanCruisers I would recommend his latest, "Sailing To The Edge of Time". It's well written and a good read. I also recommend "At The Mercy of the Sea". From the cover: "The true story of three sailors in a Caribbean hurricane. This book is different, very well written and researched, and has a personal touch.
Sailing has changed my life I've met people that are now family I've been a liveaboard for years I met John when I was working at washburns boatyard where he found his boat living g on my oday 28
@@brainsells3000 it was funny I was on the way to the interview listening to the audio book and heard that part and yea they had no idea either cause the college rep was selling it
when you get these old salts you need to ask why they don't sail around South America. Sailing Sweet Ruka is heading that way I can't wait to see the trip.
I think it's just such a big journey when going through the canal is simpler. I'm not tempted by it for my own boat. I'd crew on someone else's to do it.
@@OceanCruisers hey guys! I'm a web developer, friend of John's and fellow human with an "sch" in my last name, hahahaha, so with those three things in line, felt I could chime in here. : ) :)--- it's not a problem with "www" (both work) it's just that JK's website is spelled incorrectly in the video description/show notes--- the 'c' and 'h' are transposed :) :) :) I am unfortunately all too familiar with the problem, hahaha. also, and of course---GREAT interview to the both of ya!!! Cheers!

Hi mate. I think a few months back now actually. It was just before he took off on his passage north.
Sailing has changed my life I've met people that are now family I've been a liveaboard for years I met John when I was working at washburns boatyard where he found his boat living g on my oday 28
that's an awesome story 👍
I got my boat at washburns too. I asked them if they knew John made mention of them in his book. They had no idea.

You should invite him to the Admiralty crew!
hahahah, he doesn't need any crew!
@@OceanCruisers I know but It'd be great to see all discussion about boats, keels, etc :)
John's website address doesn't work with 'www' - that gives Server Not Found. Works without www
that's wierd, I've never heard of that error going that way round before

Yep, good point
