I was at this race, was the second year I went, was absolute scenes. Best race event I've attended ever. Also I'm not a Lewis fan, but his performance that day was special. I was sat at the last corner so got to see Massa spinning and also the beautiful livery Honda 🤣🤌

One of the most bonkers races ever, and fun cause honestly whole race you're just waiting to see who spun. And I was thinking if there was F1 twitter back then, and this channel existed, instead of Haas Watch you could have, Super Aguri watch....for three races cause the team folded. But there was Force India, in their first year, so not sure they'd deserve the watch treatment. Though a team Haas should try to emulate.
It'd be great to do some comedy reviews of classic/catastrophic races on non race weeks (also I love the Porsche watch videos keep em coming please)
Who hatin on the f1 22 vids? I actually quite love em. Short, sweet, gets to the point, and enjoyable all around. I dont see the hate like they do tbh. If someone could elaborate why, that would be nice, but as of now, keep doing F1 22 vids mate!

@@backjarton01 Oh shit you’re right! 2008 was the first year without TCS and ABS. I had always thought those rules were a part of the 2009 regulations along with going back to slicks.
This might have been the first wet F1 race without TCS and ABS in a decade. Suddenly all these spins make sense.
ABS has been banned since 1994 and traction control got banned that year
@@BRMdrivingschool So I double checked and here is the timeline:
1994: TCS, launch control, ABS, and active suspension is banned.
2001: The ban on just TCS and launch control was lifted as the FIA admitted that they were unable to police whether or not teams were using the systems.
2008: TCS and launch control is banned.

So I was wrong about ABS, that is easy to police and had been banned since 1994.
Many cars from 1994-2000 were using TCS and launch control to an extent but it was hard to police because it was all imbedded in the ECU software which was difficult to audit. The ECU could retard engine timing to reduce power if to much throttle/torque was being requested at a given speed and gear (to over simplify it).
In the begging of the 1994 season Ayrton Senna made a formal complaint that Schumacher's car was using launch control and he could tell by the sound of the engine at the starts. The FIA investigated and was able to find that Schumacher's car did indeed have a launch control system, but they were unable to prove that it was used in the race.
@@sevegarza If I remember correctly traction control and launch control was allowed in 2001 with launch control been banned in 2004 and then in 2008 traction control and electronic engine braking was banned. When ABS was banned in 1994 it has never been reinstated

@@FP1Will I thought it was fairly clear, the comparison being everyone on Inters in those conditions still racing back in 2008 being compared to races being red flagged on Pirelli wets at modern races in similar conditions
