@@reginaldjones4720 I like my paddles a bit on the heavier side, so I have mine currently set up with a 3" of 2g led tape just above the bottom corners (4/8) However if I were starting over I would probably do 4" of 1g tungsten starting just below the corners (5/9) and going up the side, since I think that would offer a more balanced feel
They are pretty different playing experiences, so it really depends on what I’m feeling and what kind of game I’m looking to play. I think the Shogun is a more offensive paddle with more power, whereas the Fat Boy is more well-rounded and consistent with much easier control. Coming from the Luxx, the Fat Boy would be a easier adjustment out of the two.
Haha no way! I’m coming from a Luxx as well! Don’t know which one to switch too so I’m getting both the Shogun and the Fat Boy. Main reasons for me switching is the Luxx ‘s grit wears out way to quick imo
@@ChocolateCrip This is also happening with my Luxx as well with the grit. I played with the Shogun yesterday and it takes a little getting used to especially with the control coming from a Luxx. It definitely more "poppy" than the Luxx and you can feel the impact more. I think because the Luxx is so pillow that we get spoiled with other paddles. I do like the power you get with the Shogun but I think I'd rather have the soft pillow you get from the Luxx instead.
Good explanation on the dynamics of Kevlar face.
@@gao57009 Thanks! It’s not the easiest thing to describe, So i appreciate the comment!
I have a Shogun and would like you to advise me on how to best customize my paddle with tungsten tape and where to place the weight.

Love my FatBoy.
Amazing to play with.
Also love my Shogun.
Bread & Butter killing it.
Bread & Butter is the best!
Which do you prefer? This or the shogun? I'm coming from a SK Luxx so I love the control of it.
