Our sunni brothers think it is prohibited. But if Tawassul is prohibited that means that I can never ask my friend to do dua for me. No. It is accapteble because they are close to God and we ask them to do the dua for us because there dua is accepted really quick. Where is the shirk? I dont think he is a God nor do I pray to the Imam. We ask them to do dua.
The shirk my friend is, to ask a dead men or the dead prophet in this case (peace be upon him) for a dua, assuming that the prophet (peace be upon him) is all hearing. And if you do tawassul not even in arabic, you are also assuming, that the prophet (peace be upon him) is all-knowing for understanding your language. Is that shirk enough for you?
@@Sara-ey1fb Firstly, the afterlife is the real life, I confirm this verse. Secondly, being alive does not imply to be All-hearing and All-seeing. Those are attributes of Allah. Since Allah is unique and nobody is like him, how can the Shia assume, that the prophet can hear dua, beside him being dead or alive? Since you just recited quran, I benefitted and will benefit from it and I thank Allah for reminding me.
Prostrating is of two kinds: It may an act of veneration and drawing closer to the one to whom one prostrates. This kind of prostration is worship, and should only be done for Allaah, according to the laws of the Prophets
The second type is a kind of greeting and honouring a person. This is the kind of prostration which Allaah commanded the angels to do in the case of Adam, so they prostrated to him as an act of honouring him. It was an act of worship towards Allaah on their part, because they were obeying His command to prostrate to Adam
The prostration of Yoosuf’s parents and brothers was also a prostration of greeting and honouring, which was permissible according to the law (of Allaah) at that time.
But according to the sharee’ah brought by the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), it is not permissible to prostrate to anyone at all except Allaah. Hence the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If I were to have commanded anyone to prostrate to anyone else, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands.” The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade Mu’aadh to prostrate to him when he (Mu’aadh) said that the People of the Book prostrated to the great ones among them, and he mentioned the hadeeth quoted above. The prohibition in this sharee’ah against prostrating to anyone at all except Allaah is an aspect of its perfection in achieving true Tawheed. It is the perfect sharee’ah whose perfection is manifested in all its rulings. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
Allah commanded Iblis to bow down in front of Adam and he refused to obey Allah's command that is why he became the Shaitaan. But Allah has repeatedly asked us in the Quran to only and only ask him. 'Call upon me and I will answer'
Doesn't it say in the Qur'an that do not consider those who died in the way of Allah swt as dead rather they are alive and receive sustenance from Allah.
What is tawassul? Tawassul in Arabic means seeking to draw close. Allah says in the Quran (interpretation of the meaning): [they] desire means of access to their Lord [al-Isra 17:57], i.e., means of drawing close to Him.
*Correct Islamic tawassul* This means seeking to draw close to Allah through acts of worship which He loves and which please Him; these may be obligatory or encouraged, and may take the form of words, actions or beliefs. Some types are as follows: 1. Seeking to draw close to Allah by means of His names and attributes. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them, and leave the company of those who belie or deny (or utter impious speech against) His names. They will be requited for what they used to do.” [al-A'raf 7:180] So when a person makes du’a to Allah, he begins by calling on Allah with the name that is most apt, such as al-Rahman (the Most Merciful) when seeking mercy and al-Ghafur (the All-Forgiving) when asking for forgiveness, and so on. 1. Seeking to draw close to Allah by means of faith and Tawhid. Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Our Lord! We believe in what You have sent down, and we follow the Messenger, so write us down among those who bear witness (to the truth).” [Al ‘Imran 3:53] 1. Seeking to draw close to Allah through righteous deeds, whereby a person asks Allah by virtue of the best deeds that he has done, such as salah, fasting, reading Quran, avoiding haram things, and so on. An example of this is the sahih hadith narrated in the Sahihayn about the three people who entered a cave, and a rock fell and blocked their way out. They asked Allah by virtue of their best deeds (to save them). A person may also ask Allah by virtue of his total dependency upon Him, as Allah mentions in the Quran (interpretation of the meaning): “[Ayyub said:] Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.” [al-Anbiya 21:83]; or by admitting his own wrongdoing and his need for Allah, as Yunus is described as saying (interpretation of the meaning): “None has the right to be worshipped except You (O Allah). Glorified (and exalted) are You. Truly I have been of the wrong-doers.” [al-Anbiya 21:87]
Ruling on tawassul The rulings on Islamically correct tawassul vary according to its type. Some types are wajib, such as seeking to draw close to Allah through His names and attributes and through Tawhid (believing in His absolute Oneness), and some are mustahabb, such as seeking to draw close to Him by virtue of all kinds of righteous deeds.

Prophet Yusuf, when he was in prison, he asked his companion who got released before him to talk to his master about Prophet Yusuf. Did Prophet Yusuf commit shirk then?
Fear Allah تعالى, O muslims. Repent to him and seek his forgiveness. He سبحانه و تعالى wants us to succeed. And forgives *ALL* sins as long as your time has not run out. Do not follow this liar. And do not follow the shia as when someone is committing major shirk such as *forbidden tawassul mentioned in another comment* takes you out of the fold of Islam.
*Tawassul that is bidah and forbidden* This is the attempt to draw close to Allah by means of things that He does not like and that do not please Him, whether they be words, deeds or beliefs. One example of this is trying to draw close to Allah by calling on the dead or people who are absent, asking them for help, and so on. This is a form of *major shirk*, which goes against Tawhid and means that a person *IS NO LONGER CONSIDERED TO BE A MUSLIM*

2:47 iblees and Adam’s tale is symbolic prostration. It did not mean sujood per se.
2:02 where in Quran is it written that Allah wants us to ask him through them

How can imams give us anything if they are dead or shaheed and their spirits are in heaven
Doesn't it say in the Qur'an that do not consider those who died in the way of Allah swt as dead rather they are alive and receive sustenance from Allah.
Metaphor of iblis refusal to sujud is the justification that its okay to ask dead ulama as the medium of supplication to Allah?

3:24 we must ask Allah directly. That’s what prophets and imams said. Rest are lies.
Asking dua from gairAllah in gaib is classic shirk.
