Dean was a real man that this generation has forgotten to be like. To me he should be crowned king of the Italian people. He was the best of the rat pack. Nothing but love for him.
so true he was always handsome in his tux with his red cloth in his pocket. He always had that smile on his face that you can't help smiling back at the t.v. set. now we ☺ smile back at TH-cam. So glad we have that to light up our days in this crazy world we live in today.
Dean could sing any song,with his unique style making many better than the original singers,king of the road by Dean better than any other version,two of my favorites are my rifle pony and me from Rio bravo ( best western ever made) and kiss the world goodbye,can't see there ever being anyone to match Dean for style and voice, lucky to have so many recordings of this great man for generations to come,his family should be very proud 👍

My parents, grandparents and I would sit around the 'Zenith Console' at my grandparents home and watch Dean Martin and Entertainers who had their own TV shows. I do miss these days. Looked forward to when they would come on. These were the days!!!!!
Totally agree! I'm from Ireland. When I was a kid in the early 60s, we got our first tv and the National TV station was RTE and still is but there wasn't a lot of home produced programs, they were all imported from the USA and Mammy and Daddy adored Dean and Frank and Perry❤ and I'm to this day a huge fan of those. With all respect to the music of today ((I don't think anyone could hold a candle to those guys) PS One of Dean's favourite singer was a guy from the Mills Brothers (check it out) and just to finish, Dean Martin was one of Elvis Presleys favourite. Now for ya😊

Hero Zero Well, I don’t think that anyone could argue with the fact that Frank was a great singer. But to me the difference was that he sang very precisely and accurately, but Dean really PERFORMED a song. His voice was warm and mellow, and when he sang lighthearted tunes you could always hear that wonderful chuckle in his voice. But when he sang more serious ballads he could really make you FEEL the emotion of the lyrics. At least that’s my opinion, though I’m sure many people will disagree, and that’s fair enough.
This was the pinnacle of television entertainment. At the close of the first half hour of the show Dean went to couch, lit a Kent and spoke of love and things.
An era of music and entertainment that I pray would come back. Today's music has no style or heart. Its sad that kids are growing up with such a lack of great talent unless they find greats such as this.

I don't get it. For someone who smoked as much as he did, you would think that he would have that raspy smoker's voice. But instead, he has that beautiful, extra smooth, extra silky, Olive oily, velvety voice. Who knows? They say it was Martinelli's apple juice in his glass but if you ask me, it was probably olive oil since he didn't ever drink it on stage and only used it as a prop and was sip it from time to time to give the illusion as if he's drinking because that was part of his persona. With all kidding aside, I'm sure it was what many have mentioned in the past that it was Martinelli's apple juice but there was something about that man's voice that it's always been extra smooth.
