It seems a lot more fun than a Cayman and it will cost a lot less to maintain. New caymans outside of the gts/gt4 also have the same neutered boring sound that all new German cars do.
@@ChrisPBacon9 The only 718 you're getting for $70k is going to be the 4 cyl. I think paying $70k for a 300hp 4cyl engine that sounds like a Subaru is a pretty odd take personally but alr bro. You're better off saving 20k and getting a 981. The 718 4.0 literally starts at 95 and even then you're only getting 40 more hp than the 981 and an infinitely less exciting car.
@@enigma6449 oh weird i didn't know we were talking about power, you specifically mentioned fun so silly me for thinking that's what we were talking about. Unless your only idea of fun is just flooring it on the highway in which case there's better cars for that too
This car is Beautiful… And yes… I would get this over the fakepra any day. People saying this is a $50K car tops are delusional or just living in 2002. A fing Camry is at $45K ffs. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤣🤣
Finally someone with common sense. Is it pricey compared to its true counterparts like the M2 or even the 3.0 Supra? Yes. But this is more to be compared to the equally priced 45th anniversary Supra. Years from now when most cars are either full EV or hybrids, these cars will be classics, legendary and highly sought after.
At that price I cant believe I'm saying this but Id rock the Ioniq 5N, Supra or a used C8. Mustang Dark Horse also comes to mind but its I like my Mustang GTs sub 45k
If the nismo ever comes out in manual would be when I consider one. In the meantime, the dark horse or the mx5 offer a better manual driving experience off the showroom floor vs a performance z.
You can buy a lot of nismo parts from the catalogue and fit them to a performance version to have a manual and save money vs nismo markup. Wheels, brakes, and seats would be veey espensive; the susoension stuff isn't bad.
The value will never be the same if you want/need to sell it. The real Nismo is just more exclusive and special. If you keep it for life then yes, it makes sense.
That ride did not look comfortable at all. Manual transmission: they are doing a Supra? First saturate the market with the autos for those who are real hardcore Z fans, and then when the sales start to drop or stabilize, bring out the manuals?
Auto 9 speed & lunch control F1 style paddle Is faster why u think Lamborghini😮only make automatic cars now plus u can not beat a computer in shifting gears. !

Such a beautiful car, I’m glad it exists but too bad the chassis and transmission are subpar. The committee that designed and approved that dorky shifter should be let go. 🫤

Having a special edition sports car and only offering it in auto, is an odd decision.
We’re on the same page
At $70k, that's knocking on 718 door.

Think about value after initial purchase. The Cayman will retain much of its value, where is the z.... Will not.

70k for that pos cheaper all around design than q50/Q60

But at that point you might as well go with actual aftermarket stuff, the Nismo stuff wont be as good while being more expensive
The manual shifts slower and Nissan was concerned about lap times and 0-60 suffering.
Offer both
Well its still getting spanked by its competition so they might as well have kept it if theyre just gonna lose anyways

Yes. I think theyre doing exactly this.
That car has three problems. No manual, no adaptive dampers and its price. Its a 55k car, not a 70k car.
No manual completely ruins the car unfortunately. Feels like this gen is such a missed opportunity, could’ve been so much better.
They'll probably bring it later in a typical douchebag move like supra and Z4
autos are better for racing/shift times in todays market, manual isnt needed
Missing the point
