    Hey Frodo, great reaction!
You are right about the lyrics on this album (and most of the West Coast albums, not all of course), they are more straight forward and often easier to understand, because most MC's from the west don't use many metaphors and don't have such a big vocabulary. But the flows are really special and unique.

Hey Frodo, i dont know who requested you to skip the origin of nwa albums and ice cube albums to straight to the chronic album, I guess they don't care about origins, because they did same thing to wu tang too , they wanted you to skip all the solo albums to go straight to supreme clientele , it like skipping the whole marvel solo movies and go straight to endgame, see you got to listen to NWA first album then the second album( that their first diss to ice cube) ice cube diss nwa on his second album Death Certificate, after that then the Chronic came out , and eazy e came out with a diss album toward Dr Dre and them, I just don't want you to miss a thing

So you think that ALL the songs and albums that Frodo reacts to are MY suggestions?
Have I made suggestions and recommendations?..sure, as have many others in the community.
But to say that I'm giving frodo "ALL" the suggestions!!
      Not accurate at all.
Of course it would make sense to do things a certain way..for example (west coast)
      Ice t..Too short...nwa..dre..snoop etc.
      And same for east coast.
I recommended frodo do old school like..grandmaster flash..melle mel..slick rick..Rakim..run dmc..krs one (again as did many others) to see where things started.
It makes total sense to do things chronologically...but it's not my channel, and frodo is going to do things how he wants to do them.. Period.

8:55 NWA’s manager wasn’t giving Ice Cube his share of royalties so he left. Dr. Dre left for the same reason. Jerry Heller was keeping royalties from them while he and Easy E reaped the benefits of the work of the group. With some help from Suge Knight Dre was able to force his way out of his record deal with NWA and would go on to form Death Row, but Easy made it to where he and later his estate still got a cut of Dre’s royalties for all his work up until the late 90s. He would then go on to record Dre Day and the rest is history.

Also, you have to remember this was Dre's first album after leaving NWA or if you will, NWA breaking up. The sound production some people are still trying to catch up to. Also, with some of the videos they really got lowriders out to the masses where across the country people wanted to get those 64 Impalas sitting on wires and hydraulics LOL.

Snoop Doggy Dogg "Doggystyle" should follow this. That album is far more lyrical than this album. What made this album a classic is the sonics and sounds that made it, at that time, one of a kind, as stated so by Interscope/Death Row founder Jimmy Iovine in a recent documentary about Dr Dre/NWA

Frodo, it kind of depends on the set up with groups vs. individual artists. In NWA's case the only solo members album at the time they were NWA was Easy E but everyone appears on the albums amongst the group. When they broke up there were some guest appearances on each's own solo albums but it wasn't like a Wu Tang Clan kind of thing. There have been a lot of duos though Chuck D and Flavor Flav as part of Public Enemy; Ad Rock, Mike D, and MCA as parts of the Beastie Boys; Andre 3000 and Big Boi of Outkast; MC Serch and Pete Nice of 3rd Bass; Eric and Parish from EPMD. Someone can correct me cause I am iffy on all the details but what classification would Slaughterhouse be with Eminem and his Detroit buddies? Or Nelly and his St. Lunatics?

Someone probably already explained, but Eazy E set up NWA with Jerry Heller, but it seems they took most of the money for themselves, so Ice Cube left, and NWA (Eazy E, Dr Dre, Mc Ren and Yella) called him a 'Benedict Arnold', so Cube responded with the diss track "No Vaseline", which you should DEFINITELY add to your reaction list. It was a hard diss, causing a mad media reaction and lawsuits because Cube mentioned Jerry's Jewish heritage a few times.
Anyway, eventually Dre also left, set up Death Row and dissed Eazy E with "Fuck Wit Dre Day", to which Eazy E responded with "Real Muthaphuckkin G's".
Both Eazy and Dre also made peace with Cube, and Dre and Cube done a track together in Death Row's heyday with "Natural Born Killaz".
In the NWA film, it showed Dre and Eazy making peace, and Eazy seeing through Jerry's scandalous ways, but this is disputed. When Eazy fell into a coma just before he died of AIDS, however, Dre did visit him in the hospital, and after his death Dre, Cube, NWA members and Snoop has honoured Eazy E's name and legacy.

Please do your next video on 2pac’s classic album me against the world 1995 because his most accomplished and important by capturing just how suffocated he felt at every level of American life he created a damning indictment of the country that hated him back but it was when he found the sound and voice that we remember him for when he transformed gangsta rap into a vehicle of the blues, and when he ascended to culture omnipresent.

Lol you had it good with 10 channels as basic, we only had 4 in the UK, didn't get 5 channels until the mid-90s 🤣🤣🤣 You had to pay for Sky TV or cable. We didn't get more free channels until they rolled out freeview digital TV. Big up my bro, I'm still watching the reaction, up to Lyrical Gangbang.

    Great reaction Frodo, loved it!
And yeah, most rappers have used that style where they split a word in two so that it still rhymes with the previous line, and then the rest of the word starts the next line. I don't think it has a specific name though.
If I can have a request though, might it be a classic House of Pain song? Who's the man - th-cam.com/video/4DNTgSqdwPU/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=TommyBoy
Or maybe some classic Cypress Hill - I aint going out like that - th-cam.com/video/q7p-ihYOG5s/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=CypressHillVEVO
Both classic bassline heavy songs that i think you'd love. The videos are actually worth watching too, not all butchered up versions.

In the 90’s West Coast Hip Hop was a little less lyrical and more Bass/Funk heavy.
East Coast Hip Hop was more lyrical and more Drum/Jazz heavy.
