I love how Fawcett, Glass, Larson, Banwarth, Hodge, and Harmotto all played against each other back then and now they've won the world championship together on the US Women's national team! It's so amazing watching them all.... honestly 2008-2010 were the best years for college volleyball
I was in the Penn State band for this. It was the most unbelievable game I'd ever seen. Especially the rally at 4:34. Being in Nebraska, when they won the 3rd and 4th set, I'd never heard a crowd be as loud as that one. I really feared we would lose. Hopefully I'll be back in Tampa this December and I hope Nebraska is there too.
Yess!!! A lot of these semifinalists made the national team. I thought Blair Brown was terrific too, I wish she would have made the national team. This was in my opinion the best national team roster ever! Hooker was truly a monster for the USA!
I'm a Husker fan and although this was a heartbreaker, I was so incredibly proud of our team. BOTH teams played incredible and I don't think I've ever seen a more fierce competition. To all volleyball players everywhere: hopefully your school and state will go bonkers over volleyball as we do! :)
Ive watched this about 50 times. Huge Husker fan...heartbreaker to lose...but so proud of the way they fought. This years team seems to be getting hot at the right time. GBR!
There was something so special about that team! They played so free and loose the whole year-probably the greatest team chemistry Nebraska volleyball has ever had! They were so much fun to watch!

So many awesome plays. One of the best is the return by the Huskers at 4:55 even if they didn't win the point as he mentioned. Great game.
