I carry a spare belt that is sized for non-AC equipped models. That's so I can do emergency repairs if AC compressor seizes. This would require removal of the idler near the AC pump (bomba)
I think you for the video. How long do the factory serpentine belts usually last? My van is a 2018 and I’m wondering if I should go ahead and change it since it’s six years old instead of waiting for it to break.
Love your videos. Battery died in my 2021 2500. Factory LED light strips in the cargo area stopped working after I replaced it. Do you know where the fuse is located for them? Seeing conflicting info online.
Likely, your van is equipped with the upfitters fuse box. It’s in the pillar behind the passengers right buttcheek - that the sliding door mates to. I bet you’ll find auxilllary fuses in there, and one is blown.
@@promastersonly1419 there were no fuses in there. After some more research I think one of the 70 amp bolt on fuses is blown on the battery. I'm going to check Saturday. Hopefully that fixes it.
Thank you, that is next on my list.. I am starting to hear a squeaking noise. I think it is the belt. I am at 75,000.. I do idle for long periods to recharge my lithium batteries.. I use synthetic oil and try to change it every 5,000. (because I do idle a lot). I am looking to try and find the oil pumper that you use to suck out the oil, instead of draining.
@@user-lm3ll1jp7f Pull the shield, get under there, hit each pulley with a squirt of WD40, see which one makes the noise stop. If none of them make it stop, try spraying the belt directly. Or, you can pop the belt off and spin each pulley by hand to find it.
Just changed mine Saturday, def easy.

I have one in my Saab as well.
How many miles should this belt be changed? Great video.
I have a video on why, but believe it or not they pretty much last forever. I'd change it every 400,000 miles just out of guilt.
First like! I expect the next video to be in Chinese.....

Unless there’s a problem, they seem to last forever.
@@promastersonly1419 Nice! Thank you for replying so quickly.
I got an ad in Spanish for a toyota tacoma while watching this. Compra ya! said the button it wanted me to click.
Ha!

How often Kip?
Oddly, never. Unless there’s a reason. We’ve seen belts go 300,000 no problem.
So good ! 😂😂😂😂

Could be the belt, more likely it's a squeeky pulley. You might be able to use WD40 to find out which one.
@@promastersonly1419 Can you elaborate, please? Where to spray? Thank you

@@promastersonly1419 Thank you. When squirting the pullies, do I target the bearing/shaft. or outside (part in contact with the belt).
