It's pretty ordinary when your support coordinator and staff at the ndis/ndia can't explain the changes, I have never asked for much. No holidays or theme parks, etc. I just couldn't justify it. I'm at least aware that it's not my money, ndis has failed me miserably. I once received an email by mistake, and it showed what the support worker was paid and the amount on top of the company was outrageous. That was the day that I started with independent workers. I'm at breaking point.

just spent 60 minites inputing 7 individual claims into the new NDIS portal. Dates, ABN no's, scanning/uploading copies of each invoice ($5 to $633), company names, services rendered, etc., etc. And the biggest joke is that the Feds/NDIS think that his will curb the rorting !!
BTW, where do I send the invoice for my time?

There is definitely some things in the outs list that once upon a time the NDIS recommended as creative thinking as ways to save money while still getting the support which is very much needed. While I do understand some of these changes others are very restrictive especially when supporting someone who has complex needs.

Must admit that the things that I am aware of on the no list my plan manager never would have signed off on in the first place. The items that you have listed in the description the NDIS has technically never covered to begin with so them having it in writing makes sense.

Received a text to inform me of this on Wednesday. To be fair, I always thought there must be a list like this somewhere.
I can't help but wonder if there will be a group of ndis clients (or their supports) who will read this list and find out there are things they could have been claiming that they haven't been.

Actually I was surprised some people pay holidays with it in guise of socialisation

They should just put in the accounts an let those use its and invest it as they choose financial freedoms are paramount.
Maybe the DSP should just be grown to match the NDIS

then why not leave it with the tax payer, in most cases they would spend it more beneficially

      Fuck the tax payer...
Its a scam anyway, no one on benefits is hurting your ability to succeed.
And the dsp hardly covers a decent quality of life...

I think there has been too much media focus on speaking about people with disabilities who are on the NDIS are a cost and a burden. Yet we don't seem to focus on the cost of looking after Baby Boomers and the generation before them in old age, who have spent most of their adult lives being nasty to young people. They have had a much more negative impact on society than the vast majority of people with disabilities. Now they want to be treated like royalty. They had it much better than other generations in terms of free education and favouritism in employment.
Let's understand that most people with disabilities, including those on the NDIS are contributors. They are not stupid. A think a more positive attitude is in order here.

My suppport workers are suppose to get $1 a kilometer its sometimes add ups to $400 fuel bill once they get to me then take me to the city bring me home and go home is around 400 kilometers im 98 kilometers to the city so out of the $400 the girls get 100 petrol and the company pockets $300 a week sometimes is that fair. I think $1 a kilometer id too much. It should be get a signed ffuel receipt signed by the garage person the participent and that bill paid thats all. So much scamming fuel money
