Thank you Connor for the update. I feel your sadness and disappointment and it breaks my heart. And indeed so many people lost and so much damage. I will watch for further news and continue to pray for Captiva, its people, its critters and our osprey and eagle families. We are so blessed to have you at the helm.
Thank you for the update Connor even though it’s devastating news. It’s strange to look at this disaster and be concerned about the birds, but that’s who we are, and I sincerely hope they survived ❤
I don't think it's strange at all. Animals deserve their place on this earth, just as much as humans. Of course it's devastating to see what people have lost, but how can we ignore the incredible animals that also inhabit this island??? I hope the osprey parents and their offspring are ok.
How sad to see how bad it is, worse than I imagined.😪 Thank you for the update. I send my wishes to all the people birds and animals that have been affected by this terrible hurricane. I wish you well.🥰
Thank you Connor, we will support you in everything you will be doing. Fingers crossed that you will spot our sweet girl Lena - just to know she was safe would be such a uplift. Love to Lori and all that will be involved in restoring the nest etc ❤️ #FloridaStrong
Connor as humans of course we all feel for our fellow humans & their losses, but you absolutely can also feel sad for your loss with regard to all the hard work you have done, and the funds that were involved. I'm thrilled to know that the eagles have been spotted & I pray that the osprey are okay as well. Thank you for the update. -Hugs 🤗
Thank you so much for this update. Our family lost a home in Periwinkle Park, it’s my understanding many of the birds and wildlife kept there didn’t survive. Yes this project brings a bit of hope and signs of renewal. Happy, so happy to see the Eagles 💝
Thank you Connor. It was awesome to see the picture of Connie & Clive. Hoping you get to see Lena. Like you, I am hopeful she survived. Looking forward to more updates.
I ditto what PH Holmer wrote. The loss of all of the hard work, excitement, time, thought and money that went into these projects for the eagles and ospreys is an enormous loss as well as it is for the humans that lost everything. Your disappointment (rightfully) shows and is completely understandable but I also see your determination and know that you will do whatever it takes to prevail. Thank you for the update and pictures Connor @Window to Wildlife. I look forward to your continued updates.
@@renie7186 Hello Renie. good to see you. Just devastating the damage from the hurricane. Amazing work these folks do and I’d gladly contribute if needed down the road to rebuild the nest for our Osprey. 💕
Too overwhelming for words, and I'm feeling like the many others who have also commented. Connor, thanks so much for caring, your dedication and hard work. I will be looking for your updates. Take good care of you in your travels to the island. ❤❤
Conner: so sad for all of those affected by the storm, our prayers go out to everyone. Hopefully you will be able to save some of the equipment. Hoping all the birds are OK.
Feel terrible for all the loss all around. Homes to Lena Connie Lori and many others. Hope we can muster the courage to rebuild. Ty Connor and Lori and everyone for caring for these birds.
So so sorry for everyone that has had to go through this my heart goes out to all affected there are no words that can be enough to say 😞. Hopefully everyone will have the strength to go on including our beautiful 🦅🦅 thank you so much for the update on your area hugs and kisses to all.💝.
Thank you so much for the update during this difficult time. I appreciate your sensitivity and humility, but I must say- you're allowed to be devastated at the fact that all of your time and hard work has been lost. Of course it's horrific that people have lost their properties and even their lives, but it's also so incredibly sad that the new opsrey nest has been lost as well. You're an incredible person and I appreciate your positive attitude, even when things seem hopeless. I have a good feeling about the ospreys as well. I think they're ok : )
Thank you so much Connor and I am so sorry, There were other Florida nests that installed all new cameras with all kinds of features that were lost as well Wildlife Rescue of Dade County is willing to help anyone with the construction of the nest base basket. For me personally, helping Connie and Clive and Lena and whoever her mate is with a new nest/platform is more important than even the cams. It is possible Connie and Clive may even rebuld in another tree, You never know. I with you and your team the best of luck. I hope Lori's home is repairable as well.
Thanks for your update Connor, it is heart-breaking to see the devastation. My thoughts and prayers are with all involved. I have tried to donate to CROW from the UK but it isn't possible on that system as it requires a state or province in the list. Can you help? Bless you for all you are doing.
Thank you Connor for this heartbreaking but hopeful update. So many of us have been concerned for everyones safety and praying for the safety of all the birds and wildlife. You said you will keep us updated on FB/ Twitter? I don't use social media, but I'm sure that I will be kept up to date from others who are. Wishing you all the best of luck with rebuilding everything, and thank you for all the hard work you do for these beautiful birds 💖
