Yes to everything said here! I think the harem animes that made me drop the whole genre were Brothers Conflict (my actual google search: step-brothers reverse harem anime) and Diabolik Lovers with the boring af main character. I know that she's supposed to be... bland because she's a self insert from the game but she was so bland that she might as well not have existed.
I was younger back then so my thresh hold for bad shows were not as high but DB was a struggle to watch. I don't think I've watched many harem anime nowadays...(if at all) if I have it wasn't noticeable to me at least.
Okay same here. Being young means a lot of things fly by our heads because we either don’t know what they’re referencing or why it’s wrong. Harem animes can be fun but most of them go too far. I just like watching funny clips of those series just so I can enjoy some humor.
tbh i think there should be more harem protagonists that aren't such a damn pushover, like make my boy worthy of gettin' all those girls, have him save their life or save them from getting touched or somethin' or make him be able to at least talk back mad shit to the tsundere just stop making him get walked all over by literally everyone, i get their supposed to be relatable to the audience but just make him do something for once in his life, if i was gettin' mad smack talked to me i personally would never let that slide, hell atleast make him insult someone's receding hair-line or smtg, or atleast make him beat tf out of a gang member, or do LITERALLY ANYTHING but sit around in his damn house with a bunch of girls swooning over him. good vid btw
