@FlixxIntel So far so good, I've been able to get a hang of things. I was able to build my blog within 3 days and launched on the 4th with 5 blog posts. Currently writing more contents and learning SEO and Pinterest as I go. Looking to also get a paid wordpress theme as I don't like the free ones available, and get membership into a stock photo society (considering Ivory mix). So far, it's been a huge learning curve for me, and I'm proud of all I've been able to learn and achieve within almost 2 months of launching.
@@TylerMoore I am sorry but Elementor in it s free version doesn't let me all the things explained in the sama way. Or am I doing something wrong? I can t follow this type of videos since for example Elementor doesn t give the option to modify so easily tthe starting image or text

Took me about three days to get through all of that but I learned so much. I've just finished it and built the website based on your template. Your best advice was not to be tempted to start adding your own content. I was very tempted at times, but I stuck with your tutorial and am glad I did. I'm now ready to start customising my own site. This was perfect! I’m computer illiterate and haven’t used one since failing IT in high school. Watched days worth of tutorials and none explained as much you did. Albeit watched some sections few times over, I really feel my knowledge went from monkey, to being able to do 99% of my website without googling “how to” Thank you so so much.

And in addition, after customizing the top pages with my pics and title the formatting is all off on the phone version even though I updated after making the changes and it all looked fine on on the computer. It just didn't translate right. Should I just get rid of those pages and start new ones or can I still fix it do you think? @fryandcook Yes, just go to the website mentioned in About section of my channel. :) I have recently overhauled my website so it looks quite different than Tyler's version now. Before, it had my diary-like posts, but now I turned my website into more like a recipe site. I did it all by myself, thanks to all the stuff Tyler taught me in this video! Good luck!! Just in case anyone struggles as I did..... blog page design. You might have to go to your dashboard, choose unlimited elements and download the pagination widget. It wasn't available by default in my case.

I feel like I should get a certificate or something for watching this video! It was by far the most detailed building of a website/blog that I have ever encountered, Thank God! I needed to go through everything in detail. Many 'Thanks' for making the video. 🙂 That must have taken a little bit of effort and time to put together! I spent about 7-9 hours following along and inserting the values every few seconds. I was totally exhausted by the time it finished. There may have been some updates to the theme since you made it. I noticed something about the Meta Data and set it to 'after intro' not being present or located in a different spot, yet I found a way to make it work, I hope. I was wondering how to change the background color of the footer, though. Also, is there a plugin to insert a directory as a Menu Item? Once Again, Many Thanks for the work! And it must have been a lot of Work! I'll post my website when I finish it. 🙂
If the directory button/clickable word is what you mean then i think you could just go to the wordpress back end, go to pages, Add/type Directory then publish it then at the wordpress back end again, go to appearance, Menu then check the "Directory" click add to menu then save menu then retry to open your website. Hope it helps I also learned this from the best mentor in the world, Tyler Moore.
the meta data i noticed is lower in the settings under a different tab. just follow the directions and scroll down to the meta info. it is there though they have moved it. had the same problem.

After this one, I watched Tyler's other WordPress tutorial, the one that is an hour and a half long. That went much better, probably because it's newer. I was able to duplicate on my screen what I was seeing in the tutorial. Afterwards, I started over with this tutorial, and it was easier to understand, and went much quicker. I am going to bounce back and forth between tutorials until I feel confident that I can build my own website. Tyler's tutorials are by far the best ones on TH-cam.

To avoid any confusion, I’d recommend picking one method that feels more comfortable for you and sticking with it. Tyler, I'm not sure if you're reading every single comment... but THIS video is far the best one I've seen around. It helped me out a GREAT time. And for real people - DON'T start doing your own thing as you watch the video and follow the steps. Because you're going to end up creating a huge mess... I had to re-watch the video many times, because I was doing my own website while I was following what Tyler says... and it took me a lot of time to make it perfect. I mean I didn't quit for a second there, but it was irritating... because I didn't listen to what Tyler was saying: "Complete the video and follow the exact steps I'm telling you to follow, learn how to do it, AND THEN START YOUR OWN WEBSITE." < this right there, is really really important...

Tyler is the friend I didn't know I needed. To say I am sad to come to the end of this tutorial is a complete understatement. This was by far the best TH-cam video I have ever seen. I am so proud of myself for completing this, knowing absolutely nothing, and could tell as the video progressed, that I was beginning to remember, figure out how to do pieces on my own, etc. If you even have a second's pause about if this is worth your time, do it. This is the best beginner-friendly WordPress tutorial I have ever seen. I already learned WordPress for more than one month and created a complete site with a purchased hosting plan. But my site is not mobile-friendly and I couldn't fix many issues even after watching so many videos on youtube. But after watching and follow along this tutorial, I can make a good-looking blog site.
Nothing out there comes close to how good this guide it. It took me about 7-8 hours to get my site set up. Not only do I have everything set up in an attractive format, I now know so much about editing the site, and am free to truly customize with features I would have not found for some time. It is my first time commenting on a YT video and that is for a good reason. I have been around since the first days of TH-cam and never have I ever seen such an excellent video, one that is so helpful it is almost ridiculous. @FlixxIntel So far so good, I've been able to get a hang of things. I was able to build my blog within 3 days and launched on the 4th with 5 blog posts.
Currently writing more contents and learning SEO and Pinterest as I go.
Looking to also get a paid wordpress theme as I don't like the free ones available, and get membership into a stock photo society (considering Ivory mix).
So far, it's been a huge learning curve for me, and I'm proud of all I've been able to learn and achieve within almost 2 months of launching.

And in addition, after customizing the top pages with my pics and title the formatting is all off on the phone version even though I updated after making the changes and it all looked fine on on the computer. It just didn't translate right. Should I just get rid of those pages and start new ones or can I still fix it do you think? @@cyrillrusso1481 Going over Tyler's video to duplicate the website shown in his video took me several hours. After that, I took about four months to redesign it and create 20 new posts and really launch my website. It's my first time building a website, so I had tons to learn to get to this point😅
@fryandcook Yes, just go to the website mentioned in About section of my channel. :) I have recently overhauled my website so it looks quite different than Tyler's version now. Before, it had my diary-like posts, but now I turned my website into more like a recipe site. I did it all by myself, thanks to all the stuff Tyler taught me in this video! Good luck!! I feel like I should get a certificate or something for watching this video! It was by far the most detailed building of a website/blog that I have ever encountered, Thank God! I needed to go through everything in detail. Many 'Thanks' for making the video. 🙂 That must have taken a little bit of effort and time to put together! I spent about 7-9 hours following along and inserting the values every few seconds. I was totally exhausted by the time it finished. There may have been some updates to the theme since you made it. I noticed something about the Meta Data and set it to 'after intro' not being present or located in a different spot, yet I found a way to make it work, I hope. I was wondering how to change the background color of the footer, though. Also, is there a plugin to insert a directory as a Menu Item? Once Again, Many Thanks for the work! And it must have been a lot of Work! I'll post my website when I finish it. 🙂

If the directory button/clickable word is what you mean then i think you could just go to the wordpress back end, go to pages, Add/type Directory then publish it then at the wordpress back end again, go to appearance, Menu then check the "Directory" click add to menu then save menu then retry to open your website. Hope it helps I also learned this from the best mentor in the world, Tyler Moore.
the meta data i noticed is lower in the settings under a different tab. just follow the directions and scroll down to the meta info. it is there though they have moved it. had the same problem.

After this one, I watched Tyler's other WordPress tutorial, the one that is an hour and a half long. That went much better, probably because it's newer. I was able to duplicate on my screen what I was seeing in the tutorial. Afterwards, I started over with this tutorial, and it was easier to understand, and went much quicker. I am going to bounce back and forth between tutorials until I feel confident that I can build my own website. Tyler's tutorials are by far the best ones on TH-cam.

To avoid any confusion, I’d recommend picking one method that feels more comfortable for you and sticking with it. And for real people - DON'T start doing your own thing as you watch the video and follow the steps. Because you're going to end up creating a huge mess... I had to re-watch the video many times, because I was doing my own website while I was following what Tyler says... and it took me a lot of time to make it perfect. I mean I didn't quit for a second there, but it was irritating... because I didn't listen to what Tyler was saying: "Complete the video and follow the exact steps I'm telling you to follow, learn how to do it, AND THEN START YOUR OWN WEBSITE." < this right there, is really really important...

Tyler is the friend I didn't know I needed. To say I am sad to come to the end of this tutorial is a complete understatement. This was by far the best TH-cam video I have ever seen. This is the best beginner-friendly WordPress tutorial I have ever seen. I already learned WordPress for more than one month and created a complete site with a purchased hosting plan. But my site is not mobile-friendly and I couldn't fix many issues even after watching so many videos on youtube. It is my first time commenting on a YT video and that is for a good reason. I have been around since the first days of TH-cam and never have I ever seen such an excellent video, one that is so helpful it is almost ridiculous. As a simple historian with no knowledge of coding or anything to do with website-building for that matter, I managed to design my own website after a short few hours. Sure there is still a lot go, the design and utilities I have in my mind will take some more time to implement but now that I learnt how to do it thanks to your video, I can actually go ahead and "just do it." Hi, Tyler. I just ended your tutorial. I followed you step by step, and I am happy to say, I did finished it successfully. This is the first time I started and finished a tutorial of this type. I regret the fact that I can only give it a thumbs up only once. I have been a subscriber for sometime. It wasn't until I came across your "We All Love Nature" tutorial that I seriouly began to follow your tutorials, and I am glad I did. I am impressed. In this tutorial, "Make A Blog", it is like your primary goal is not to prove or show how much you know your craft; rather, you came across like a good master whose only interest is to make his students fall in love with how to make a website. I was so confused and I'm pretty good at tech and figuring really anything out on a device but I was getting frustrated and found your video, literally the BEST video for creating a WP blog!
