Potential games to lose At Anfield, all wins except maybe Sheffield United and Wolves Away, can draw in Manchester, London (Spurs and Arsenal), and lose or draw in Leicester. All the rest should be wins.
Winning 9 games on a trot by beating teams which are either having off field problems or just a lesser team than them.. I respect LCFC but i think Klopp has learnt his lesson and bar any major injuries before Jan transfer window, LFC looks unstoppable
Oh please...teams don't win 9 games in a row if they're not talented. These were the sort of excuses people made when Leicester won the league. Leicester is not a glamorous name in football, so there is a kind of snobbery which will probably never go away.
Even Leicester would be motivated to dedicate a league to their owner who died. I do feel that liverpool will certainly drop points and who knows with a slight dip in form things go south pretty quickly
Agreed.... but you guys are acting like collapses don't just happen.. and let's be honest, Liverpool have a history of such collapses.. and we've seen the resilience of Leicester that led to them winning the league back in 2016... in my opinion the league cannot be declared over until that boxing day game, if Leicester cuts it to 5 it would bring in an interesting dynamic as to how both teams respond going down the stretch... if Leicester weren't 8 back and it was City 14 back in second then I'd be inclined to say it's over. I do think as do many that Liverpool will win the league, and they really should finish it... but if you are a sports fan you've seen it all... there has been far crazier things that have happened than some PL team blowing an 8 point lead in early December...
@@jamstonjulian6947 Well if the argument is that because Leicester have won 9 straight they're going to catch Liverpool, it's relevant in pointing out that over this season and last season, Liverpool have been the most consistent team in the League. So it's not like Liverpool have only played well in the past 12 weeks or so, they've been at a consistent high level for 1.5 seasons. I'm using those stats to highlight that statistically, Liverpool would have to lose more games in their next 22 matches than they have in their last 54. Liverpool are currently at the same level as the City side of 2017/18 that netted 100 points.
@@sejason56 Collapses do happen. But a collapse this season would also require Leicester to be perfect. Which essentially means that Leicester would need 100 points to win the league given their maximum now is 104 and Liverpool's is 112.
I've never seen anyone be so annoying when it comes to talking about football as stevie, u guys sure he played football in his early days? U could have fooled me...
Nice dream, but they'd basically have to win every game from now till the end of the season which is highly unlikely especially now that Kante is at Chelsea
@jermaine tobin I meant that the current Liverpool side have never won the modern league title (until now) but they dismissed Leicester as inexperienced since they aren't a huge club even though they won it quite recently. That was 2 months ago though.
Leicester have still got Liverpool and Manchester city to play, they've got city on the 21st and then Liverpool on boxing Day, those two games will be crucial.
Completely agree, and I'm not listening to anyone say otherwise. The other thing is LIverpool have only 1 loss in the last 50 games in the league, but in that time...there have been a number of games where they have won by 1 goal, where they just fought their way (or had a good break) to win. Don't get me wrong, you need to be that resilient and win those close games, but we haven't been put in the position yet this year where we lose and Leicester win (or even with small odds City). Trying to fight back after a loss, is a lot different then being front-runners through-out. Really a loss and a draw, or 2 losses and the pressure is on a whole different level...we just went thought it last year. I believe in this squad differently then the last couple times we went through this (last year and then Gerrard/Suarez/Sturridge disaster). We are even deeper now getting Ox/Keita fully healthy, and once Fabinho/Matip are back we will have great depth. I think this team learned a lot from winning Champions League last year. Still no celebrating for me till i see that trophy (or points gap so large it's insurmountable)....YNWA
Craig's incorrect. The in-form team are Liverpool, hence why they've accumulated 46 of an available 48 points. Leicester's season will be defined over Xmas when they face City and Liverpool within the space of a week. If they win both of those then, they should be taken seriously. If not, they'll be fighting it out with City for 2nd.
Actually that's half the picture. Pool haven't been playing good consistently, but are able to grind out results. They could get punished badly nd with good reality check. Not to forget that they have UCL games as well while LCFC don't, and if LCFC win on boxing day, then the hectic schedule of feb, march, april will have some impact as well for LFC. Last season Pool didn't win coz the schedule saw them draw games, they didn't lose, but weren't winning either.
Ragekill grp last two wins have been emphatic, maybe not in score line, but the way they played. Leicester have to seriously beat all the top teams again and the rest of the league. They arguably have to go on a crazy winning run.
@@rajatstudio Actually Liverpool won most of their games during those months, winning 9 and drawing 3. Liverpool's also had a hectic schedule since the beginning of the season and is managing it just fine.
Ragekill grp that’s scary when Liverpool keep winning despite not playing at our best.. Last 2 wins over Everton and Bournemouth, Liverpool is unstoppable. And Liverpool build on the form, beat Leicester on Boxing Day..
Coming back to this post after 4-0 blow out. Craig: Liverpool will win the league if they could beat Leicester. Lol... Leicester not anywhere good enough to beat Liverpool
The narrative of last season was Liverpool with a 7pt lead, not 10, still having to play Man City the best team in the league, who brought it down to 4pts. And Man City, who then went on to win every single one of their last 15 games to win the league. And in some clueless idiots minds that still translates to Liverpool bottling it last season. That is not bottling it. That is coming up against a virtually unstoppable juggernaut of a team. Leicester, as good as they are and as good as their form is right now are not that. If Liverpool don't win it this season, THAT will be bottling it.
Well it is a bottle isn’t it because they lost to teams they shouldn’t of right? They should of been winning the league where they were but sadly lost momentum and was caught so tell me how that situation is any different to right now? You in the lead in the table getting caught by the in form team?
Stevie is correct, there is no logical reason to say Leicester can win the league. Leicester have won 8 games in a row and are still 8 points behind says it all
History. History says otherwise. Unless they change history this year they have a long standing history of somehow fucking up big leads and losing the league in the end like fucking LAST SEASON
Tyler Wafflez Leicester will lose to both city and Liverpool within 5 days. They’re a good team, but defo not a title winning one. They’ll be lucky to get in the top 6 next year with cl football.
@@Adz90 I I eknowledg the fact that Leicester has been ridiculous the first 15 games, but I just think people are being overhyped by Leicester a bit, in terms of the title, Liverpool will drop points, they might lose 2 or 3 games but the gap between Leicester and Liverpool by May would be more than 8 points... I'd bet My kidney on that.
No logical reason ok, I will give you three 1: Leicester have players that actually won the premier league. They have experience on their side 2. They are playing a lot less games than Liverpool 3. There is no pressure on Leicester, one of the main reasons why Liverpool was so successful last season was because the pressure was not on them. It’s going to be interesting to see how they react when they inevitably drop points.
Something they miss is that teams will strengthen in January . Just because they did so well the first half of the season does not mean they will do as well in the 2nd .
Injuries can make a difference. International competitions also. And the internal competition is so tough... They are very far away from being champions. They need to get to 70 points with this gap.
I’m a big Leicester fan and I am 60/40 we will win the league but The way the panel is tryna convince Stevie that it’s ABSOLUTELY AND CLEARLY possible is ridiculous. It’s POSSIBLE that we could catch Liverpool but it’s not that cut and dry even if we do beat Liverpool on Boxing Day
The African Cup of Nations and the loss of both Salah and Mane for those weeks in January ultimately cost Liverpool dear last season. They lost to Man City just before that tournament started and then dropped points to both Leicester and West Ham in successive games. Unless injuries intervene, the uninterrupted availability this time of Salah and Mane will mean it's absolute guarantee that Liverpool will win the Premiership this season.
Dosui I mean he has a point but to say that they have absolutely no chance to turn it around is a bit much. Especially when Liverpool have choked the league twice this decade...
I have to return some videotapes Leicester won the league with 81 pts during the 2015/2016 season. 81 pts is not enough to get you 2nd place with both Liverpool and city fighting for top spot. They will finish 3rd. City are the only team capable of beating Liverpool at the moment unfortunately they bottled it. Title race is over
We got two difficult matches coming up Leicester and Wolves. Too many draws cost us the Premier League. Both Leicester and Man City still got a chance. We had big lead last season too and we messed it up.
Liverpool are currently in 5 competitions while Leicester are in 3 I believe. Leicester has many players who are able to rest during the international period. Liverpool are favorites but it is theirs to lose due to exhaustion.
Brayan Ranjel Liverpool have shown that they can still rest their top players while having injuries. Leicester haven’t shown that and can’t show that because they literally have no depth. Liverpool May be in 5 competitions currently but they’re definitely going out of two in about two weeks which puts them down to three. One competition is in sunny qatar and last’s two days, the other a game using their u23s. It’s really not that bad as people are making out.
The question is 'when' will they lose their first game? Even when they played badly which they've done a lot so far this season they still managed to scrape by (by luck or bad officiating), I don't see them not winning the league honestly. EPL is boring this season from a neutral's perspective. La Liga seems to be more interesting so far this season.
The guy keep saying ‘it’s Leicester, it’s not Manchester city’ He must be under a rock for the moment,, looking down on small club, 👎 don’t respect football for the skill. Unprofessional! For that, Leicester should win just for the sake of destroying this man 👊🏼

Strikes me that Craig's entire argument can be defeated if rather than comparing Leicester's last nine games to Liverpool we compare their last _ten_ games instead.
If Leicester shows me wining one game against the top four then they have a real chance if topping the PL. My assessment is that the game Leicester vs Liverpool will decide the fate of PL.
mop well we have won our last 24 games out of 25 in the league, with only 1 draw. There’s little to no weakness in this Liverpool side, the great man has built.
The race isn`t over! Just imagine van Dijk gets injured! I can not see how Lovren gonna keep this defence safe, he is known for slap stick errors from time to time. Salah is not in his best shape. Remember Liverpool often won games with just 1 goal difference(actually its 8 games). That can totally change without van Dijk or Mane. Also remember Fabinho is injured! Yes he will come back soon but, it might also need time 1-2 games untill he is back in shape.

A reply to the questions asked between 3:27-3:35 Last season Liverpool had two top scorer, conceded the least goals, kept the most clean sheet. But who won the league?
It will be a bit more unpredictable if Leicester beat Liverpool when they face them again. I personally think it will be hard for Leicester to maintain their form against the top 6
What's missing from this argument is , Leicester have lost two games to top six sides and drawn one, Liverpool have drawn one and won the rest including City which Leicester have to play twice yet, answer that one Craig Burley?
Best defensive record & top scorer in PL? So Liverpool must have won the PL last season then? These guys are just nuts...it is the team that collects the most points at May that wins.
I'm a Liverpool fan but It is well known for the past 3 seasons Liverpool haven't performed well in Jan/Feb, so to say the title race is over is just ridiculous. There is so much pressure on the Liverpool players to end 30 years of hurt, whereas Leicester have no such pressure. At this stage I wouldn't rule out Leicester or City.
dancalla77 I doubt it, but there is a possibility and you can’t be arrogant about it. They should be able to win the league with 11 point lead over City.
Sachin Paranjape No, it’s not hard to understand what I mean. Am trying to say that it’s not over yet. That’s what am saying and a bad form can happen but also injuries, etc.
I agree. Its not over. I badly want liverpool to win the league. But, to say its already done and dusted at this stage - sounds really stupid to me. I am not a Pundit. But I think any sports lover will tell u, its just stupid to say 'its over!' at this stage.
craig is right. liverpool has been consistent but leicester has been HOT and consistent. teams have been getting blown out in so many ways by this leicester team and it’s almost been impossible to play through the middle against them. they’re both similar in their consistency but leicester’s defense has been better this season and they have not had to squeak out as many close games as liverpool (although they’ve lost and drawn more). i’m a liverpool fan and it’s my opinion that liverpool win the league, but it is not out of the question that leicester make it closer than it is now, because they’ve been playing like it’s closer than it is now
Don't be confused. Leicester are contenders and City are current and defending champions. That's what Liverpool wants to change. to become the champions instead. That's they job we all got lining up behind Liverpool. If City were on top (thanks Heavens they aren't) I would hope Liverpool could chase them down like we did last year and lost it by one point! That's how much belief I have in Liverpool. And right now, having so suffered as we did last year gunning for it till the very last game even when it was obvious what we hated to happen was happening, this year you see a team that has learned from its past and mistakes. One of which I think is 'playing safe'. Liverpool this year is not playing safe. Liverpool is going after every game, one after the other, with a view to win it. Me and my mates bet that that we win every game. That's the belief and that's the leverage. Klopp knows that. The lads know that. After boxing day, there's another match to win, after that another one and so it goes on till the end. That's the refreshed Liverpool mindset. The league will not be over for us till there are no more matches left to play! And then, I hope, we won't be relaxed, we would be celebrating! Remember we not only love to do that...We absolutely know how to...
If Leicester win on boxing day, the title race will definitely heat up because then Leicester will be 5 points behind and City will be 11 points and Laporte and Sane both will return in January or February which will only make the title race more intense. Liverpool still have to face clubs they nearly lost to so there is a chance that Leicester might win the league again this season.
“Get lost” well said. He’s becoming a buffoon. He’s argument is that they’re consistent but over looking the most consistent team in the league, Liverpool. What a joke. It’s obvious he wants Liverpool to lose and then say, told you so.
Very low chances for anybody catching Liverpool. As a football fan I hope at the end of the season they are close to make it more entertaining to watch but in reality it would take a massive drop in form for LFC to drop points. I imagine they have learned from their mistakes last year and won't slip up again.
City hasnt played against Leicester & Arsenal, while united has already played em. Also, its about what they are playing for. United isnt playing for the league win, & they have variety of problems. City is or was playing for the 1st position, so they discuss the things that are going wrong for them compared to the top 2.
The difference is when Liverpool went 1 point behind Manchester City both teams then went on to not drop a single point, I think city did 14 wins in a row, if you think Leicester have the same capability I’m not sure
AndyC88 it’s not arrogant at all he’s telling the truth,if people don’t like to hear the truth that’s there problem,Liverpool lost once in two years in league, very rarely draw either,is there anyone in the league that could beat them 4-5 times for another team to win, plus Leicester or Man City also cannot lose a game which is nearly impossible specially as got to play each other twice lol,and Liverpool are the best team in the world at the moment there’s no doubt about that,
@@jamesmiles1328 All people are trying to say is it's possible. Everybody agreed they think Liverpool will win the league. Stranger things have happened in the Prem.
AndyC88 well yes they have a chance like Brighton and arsenal still do,but reality is not going to happen is it,Leicester will lose 4 games at least before season up,means Liverpool only lost once two years would need to lose 9 games, and we haven’t seen stranger things Newcastle lost 12 point gap once that was previous biggest gap,Liverpool ain’t Newcastle
I hate it when people say Liverpool blew their lead last season they lost points to good teams not bad teams and they played the, after city played them so it doesn’t make sense
Liverpool were 7 points ahead of City last year. They lost to City at the Etihad, but City lost a few games later to Newcastle so that loss was negated. The reason Liverpool didn't win the league was because aside from the City loss they dropped 8 points from 4 draws, and City DIDN'T DROP ANY OTHER POINTS! Other than the Newcastle loss, They won EVERY SINGLE GAME in the second half of the season (18W 0D 1L). That is freakin ridiculous! Does anyone here see Leicester doing the same this year?
Nicol has clearly has his Liverpool fan head; Man City lost 4 games to Liverpool 1, be expected from no where to go on bad run, it can and does happen.
Craig is by far the most reasonable person on that table. Stevie and Don totally strawmanning him the entire time, rather than listening. Shaka at least had a bit of rationale behind his statements.
According to Steve Liverpool have more experience in winning the premier league than Leicester 😂 No. Of Players who have won the premier League Liverpool 1 player Leicester 7 players
Milner won it twice with Man City so he's got more experience of winning it than any Leicester player idiot. Also Klopp knows what level you have to be at to win a league as he did it twice with Dortmund against an extremely good Bayern Munich team
I have a feeling Leicester at the end of the Season are going to be two time Premier League champions and Liverpool will blow another lead like they all these years without ever winning a Premier League.

That Leicester argument "they won the league few years ago" is non sense... Yes they won it but they never had any opposition that year, second place was Arsenal with 71points... Leicester had 81 and with that you would have won one PL at max in the last 20 years. Not saying that title doesn't mean anything but Leicester never had a proper huge title race like liverpool had last year.
True... but, they don't have anyone but City to worry about behind them, and Liverpool ahead. They're in a good position and are under zero pressure. Liverpool are in pole position but have all the pressure on them to win the league.

Experience shouldn’t even matter. How did Leicester win it the first time and most of their players didn’t even had experience.

Liverpool have lost one game in 54 games in the league. Leicester are hoping Liverpool drop 3 games in the next 22.
And at the same time Leicester themselves not lose a single match either
And what relevance is Liverpool's league form last season to where they'll be 3 months from now?
Agreed.... but you guys are acting like collapses don't just happen.. and let's be honest, Liverpool have a history of such collapses.. and we've seen the resilience of Leicester that led to them winning the league back in 2016... in my opinion the league cannot be declared over until that boxing day game, if Leicester cuts it to 5 it would bring in an interesting dynamic as to how both teams respond going down the stretch... if Leicester weren't 8 back and it was City 14 back in second then I'd be inclined to say it's over.

Leicester have still got Liverpool and Manchester city to play, they've got city on the 21st and then Liverpool on boxing Day, those two games will be crucial.
One amazing week for Leicester coming
I’m a Liverpool, but it’s not hard to see why people say we have an annoying fan base.
As a Liverpool fanatic, until that trophy is aloft Jordan Henderson head then it’s not over!
Or is mathematically won

Last year was different. Liverpool was leading by 8 points at one point but second placed Man City had some outstanding matches at that point
Okay. this one did get HEATED. Sky sports take notes
Lol
@@Adz90 I I eknowledg the fact that Leicester has been ridiculous the first 15 games, but I just think people are being overhyped by Leicester a bit, in terms of the title, Liverpool will drop points, they might lose 2 or 3 games but the gap between Leicester and Liverpool by May would be more than 8 points... I'd bet My kidney on that.
No logical reason ok, I will give you three
1: Leicester have players that actually won the premier league. They have experience on their side
2. They are playing a lot less games than Liverpool
3. There is no pressure on Leicester, one of the main reasons why Liverpool was so successful last season was because the pressure was not on them. It’s going to be interesting to see how they react when they inevitably drop points.
It's not arrogance when it's based on this level of statistics !!
Something they miss is that teams will strengthen in January . Just because they did so well the first half of the season does not mean they will do as well in the 2nd .
Steve starts snorting when he gets excited 😂
Injuries can make a difference. International competitions also. And the internal competition is so tough... They are very far away from being champions. They need to get to 70 points with this gap.

It's still 3 horse race until mathematically over. But I back Liverpool to take the title

Title race is over
@Pappy Tron didnt they just trash everton with a banter team?
Why does every sports channel have to have the word HEATED in their video titles
When liverpool lose their first game every liverpool fan is going to be nervous lol

The race isn`t over! Just imagine van Dijk gets injured! I can not see how Lovren gonna keep this defence safe, he is known for slap stick errors from time to time. Salah is not in his best shape. It will be a bit more unpredictable if Leicester beat Liverpool when they face them again. I personally think it will be hard for Leicester to maintain their form against the top 6
"They're so good they're 8 points behind!" Stevie is fuming.
What's missing from this argument is , Leicester have lost two games to top six sides and drawn one, Liverpool have drawn one and won the rest including City which Leicester have to play twice yet, answer that one Craig Burley?

I'm a Liverpool fan but It is well known for the past 3 seasons Liverpool haven't performed well in Jan/Feb, so to say the title race is over is just ridiculous. There is so much pressure on the Liverpool players to end 30 years of hurt, whereas Leicester have no such pressure. At this stage I wouldn't rule out Leicester or City.
Because when teams lose long streaks they go into bad form. Thats why.
So when Liverpool lose they'll lose a few and be level with Leicester?
dancalla77 I doubt it, but there is a possibility and you can’t be arrogant about it. They should be able to win the league with 11 point lead over City.
So, when liverpool's dream run will come to an end, they will lose more than one match. That means title race is still on. Is that what u mean??
