After binge watching your videos, I tried DIY'ing our kitchen (zero experience in anything DIY). My husband banned me from watching you ever again but here I am lmao.
Amazing loveliness! As a diy grandma, I love you girls. Be very careful, Tiff. It's really easy to pull muscles, gash hands, etc. Of course, you and Toni are still young and strong, so enjoy life and keep creating beauty!
When you have wobbling on a table or dresser...The heights can be exact and still have wobbling...Measure corner to corner. It means that even though the heights are the same and still wobbly, there's a really high possibility that you don't have 90 degree corners. First make sure you have those 90 degree corners prior to sanding down anything. It also helps with hard to open and close drawers.
My favorite part is how every time Tiff steps back to admire her work, Toni plays the sexy music in the background lol. I swear it just takes me out!!! 😂😂😂
Hey Tiff Im new here. I love your videos. I have a tip for the wood fill you did on the table top. First I love that cart. Its beautiful. Anywho. Just take your saw dust from the wood you sanded and mix with wood glue then fill the gaps with that. No need to color match that way and you already have that stuff. 😁 I really love that you repurposed these furniture pieces. Well done! Thx for sharing your journey.
Flipping Drawers has awesome videos where he refinishes furniture. I’ve learned a ton from him. Like those casters could have been rehabbed with vinegar and a wire brush drill attachment. Keep up the good work! I love watching your videos.

I like everything but I really love the dresser & the nightstands! One tip you may have already heard about dark antiquing wax; you should always apply clear wax first, then use the dark wax in small quantities. I hadn’t seen any but the last set for the guestroom. I think the carts are my favorite, but I learned how to build up the thin shelf section on the nightstand, which I desperately needed to know. When you need to remove something like the caster or a nail, grip firmly with any kind of pliers then hit pliers from underneath with a hammer. Works really well
I love those trolleys. they turned out great. I watched the others being made of a separate video, just in case you wondered why I only spoke about the trolleys. I commented on the other videos about the dining set and the chest of drawers. All are awesome, I like seeing Misty too.

This compilation was really useful for catching up with some of the videos I missed before I subscribed! For the next time you do something like the first project, I second the suggestion in another comment about mixing sawdust from your project with glue and using it as wood filler that will take stain well. For the second project, when you revamp it, what about replacing the laminate surface with real wood veneer? It should be cheaper than making a whole top from solid wood, and then you can get whatever wood finish you want. I really enjoy watching your projects.
Gosh I remember buying a couple dressers in the 80s I bought at a garage sale for like 30 dollars and refinishing for my daughters bedroom- also $150 for a pine dining room table with leaves and 6 chairs and refinishing that to save money. A lot of work but I was a stay at home mom and had the time to do it but saved hundreds of dollars. Also a good way to save from the dump. Great job!
I would have painted all drawers sage green. I love that color. That way, the top and legs are far enough apart, a slight color differene is less noticable. 😊
I enjoyed watching the table refurbished and the remake on the small dresser. I would have either stained all the drawers or painted them all. Other than my personal preference, I liked the two toned dresser. My entry hall table and a curio cabinet are painted black with the tops and the wood around the glass are stained a dark oak. It works well with my livingroom tables that have black iron legs, stained tops with glass inserts.
Those carts are so freaking cute! The image I got in my head was more Dark Academia, like ordering some finials and molding and a dark stain. That's what I love about these channels though, seeing all the different ways people see things!
Maybe you can get come under bed storage containers for the summer clothes or toys. That way you have more storage and things won’t slide under the bed. Just a suggestion ❤

I was able to get both my tables for dining room and breakfast are along with 10 chairs for free. The farm table was $500 sold by someone moving. Made from barnwood. I paid for it by redoing several tables, refinishing, and flipping them. The chairs all needed the foam and fabric replaced, and everything glued and tightened. You can get quality without a lot of money. ❤❤
Omg Tiff... get some tongue depressers/jumbo popsicle sticks... they are great for mixing small cans of paint/finish and mixing/applying 2 part epoxies!
I agree. My mom was a professional painter and she died of lung cancer at 62. Painters have a higher rate of cancer compared to the general population.
oh my gosh it was fun reliving these the story about the watch sounded so cool! I did like the mini updates on each item. The dinning table is still my favorite, I am still impressed with how realistic wood illusion for the top half looks and the update on the scratch's here and there it still adds character to it especially with the theme of the design. I was just thinking if ever you revisit it, now that you have that (I forget what it was called) that printer that draws on wood you could replace the little flowery designs with portraits of all the kitties. I'm looking forward to what projects you will share with us next year. I've really been enjoying these furniture glow ups some of this stuff I wished I had learned years ago. there were so many items I once owned that unfortunately were trashed that could have been saved. but now I've seen these videos and now if ever I have furniture that wobbles or may need a little maintenance I can look back at these DIYS and see if there's one that may help when I have a hiccup in my present furniture.
You did an amazing job refinishing these pieces. You could put a thin layer of epoxy on your beautiful dining room table and it would fill in those scratches. Just an idea.
After ALOT of experience with painting things that don't like being painted. Mainly cheap cabinets and countertops. Thought I would pass on my favorites. Things that have a gloss finish like the table top, clean it with TSP. Can find it premixed and dry, at Home Depot. I like the dry so I can mix it stronger (not my recommendation 😊) it takes the Glaze off and makes it ready to bond with paint. Be careful it doesn't get on stuff you don't want to have a flat finish. Wear gloves for sure. Also a mask and eye protection if there's a chance it could get in your eye. Personally I only wear gloves, but you know, safety first. Then for your base coat use Zinsser B-I-N White Flat Shellac-Based Primer and Sealer. It costs a bit but it WORKS. I NEVER had to use more than one coat if I was painting over it or 2 coats if not. I painted bathroom and kitchen cabinets (a LOT of them, I used to rehab apartments "on budget" in other words CHEAP owners) and even a couple counter tops. I never even saw a scratch on any that I did. Even 3 yrs later they looked GREAT. LOVE your show. I LOVE LOVE seeing women that know how to use tools. 😊

Those were tv carts. They look really nice.
Make your own wood putty next time? Using glue and the sawdust from the wood you just cut. I’ve seen Haxman do that and it seems to match pretty good.

Your projects turned out great! The table is unrecognizable….although I would change the seat covers, the black really stands out too much.
