I wondered why she left the role I first saw her in - when she was on Broadway in NYC in Rock of Ages in 2011. This answers it. While she is a fantastic singer, dancer, actor - she really wanted to do TV and they picked her up to deal with Dianne Aguron's leaving. It was a great pickup - too bad it only lasted three years but now she is doing TV movies, the latest Hallmark movies.
