Hopefully there is spies vs mercs in the next splinter cell. It is the best multiplayer ever when played right. Also hopefully they keep care of the game to like when bugs and glitches come about hopefully Ubisoft will patch them and keep the game fair and balanced. Spies vs mercs is awesome
Sorry, hate to ask this, but I have created a custom class and I can't turn the flashlight on. Does the ability for a flashlight as a Merc depend on game mode?
+LeGioN yes if you know how to use it. dont stop running, run sideways, aim for head, ALLWAYS GO FOR ATS, cuz it detects any sounds and just look around.
And the SONAR, and the kills from the front, and the Conviction version of Death from above where it freezes the merc in place once the player presses the button.
This looks really nice, was a little worried when I saw the spies holding guns but it seems like they are mostly non-lethal guns(since the only time any of them fired in the video was an electric bolt). Definitely like everything I saw, the reveal that its now 4v4 was pretty cool too, wish this game was coming early summer as opposed to august when the summers pretty much over.
you could drop proximity sensors in chaos theory, it was on the submenu for the spytrackers, at what point in the video did it confim that there will be unlimited gadgets ?

The game is very strategic and fun. Spies have the sight over the enemy but can only attack from the shadows or from behind. It's not like they can snipe Mercs while they're searching around clueless. If a Merc has you in sight clear you better do whatever you can to get away. The game takes planning and patience as a Spy and as a Merc as well. Fun multiplayer, looking forward to playing it.
I loved playing as a merc in SCCT. It was like an action horror game where every shadow was alive. After playing for a while, I started to develop a sense for where spies would be and when. I got plenty of kills by lobbing grenades into dark holes in the wall.
They'll probably make it audible for the Spys so they know that the mercs are aware. We don't know if its selectable or mandatory from match start. It likely already comes pre-equipped, but if it works only if the spy moves at a certain pace, i'm sure it'll be fine. Remote hacking seems to be removed. It was fine to begin with though, remote hacking could be seen in EMF and brightened your player model slightly.
You say that. But check out their channel and indie page. They released new content and a teaser for an upcoming map. Sure it's still in the works, but it doesn't take 5 minutes to create a big game like Project Stealth.
There needs to be a way for the spy to know where the heartbeat sensor is. I don't want to play Double Agent again. I don't see any mines, but I hope they're in there.
The spy's heartbeat tracker from Chaos has been repurposed for the Mercs as a motion tracker in this (in placement of the red one that outlined you). Mines are back, frags are still there, I believe the spy finder is in the beginning. Tons of stuff will probably be back.

Hey guys I have a question. I am new to the splinter cell series. I ignored spies vs mercs in double agent, I did well in conviction. I won five matches in a row on face off my opponent was never killed and never played stealthy i won by sneaking up on him and killing him. So I wanted to ask, was it fun back in the day, how did it feel to play it? was it satisfying? was it a "special' kind of fun you can't get anywhere else? and last, do you think I would fit in and have fun playing it?
There has always been a multiple player system to Splinter Cell between Pandora Tomorrow and another game that I have forgotten about. However, I know for a fact that Splinter Cell has a multiple player system.
In SC:CT multi was a "stealth suit" too - cloak last for 4-7sek, but y are right it's much quicker than SC:CT multi - it looks more like mixed SC:CT with SC:DA.
this might be a very stupid question, and i know split screen would be available for co op but will the same be available for this mode? i mean, that would be awesome..specially when me and mah bro could play it in split screen daaaamn
I know. I was being sacastic lol. I still remember a majority of my summer being spent playing Spies vs. Mercs. It was so unique back then and still is today
I mostly played SvM on Chaos Theory which is mostly like Classic mode. There'll also be a Blacklist mode so I can't speak for that one. SvM for me is all about outsmarting your opponents and working as a team. The learning curve is pretty steep but, oh man, is it rewarding to play. Spies have to be sneaky and clever to succeed and can never win in a face to face confrontation with a merc if the merc knows what he's doing. You take turns and both sides are very fun to play for different reasons.
The combat mechanics look top notch in this game, and they have Kevin Secour, an extremely skilled systema, and jujitsu instrucker, behind the combaThis is gonna be great! Can't wait.
Actualy, when i saw the new Metal gear trailer i thought "this reminds me of splinter cell". Both games are getting closer to each other on gameplay and I love it, they're my 2 favorite games...
No online game has ever got my heart pounding as hard as the old Spies vs Mercs of Chaos Theory, the gameplay was so intense. I can't wait for the return after suffering through years of the "dumbed down" versions.
If it's like the original MP, then it will succeed. It was more than just death match, the spies had to hack computer terminals, which then opened up a new area with another terminal to hack. There were multiple entry routes for spies into each area, and all the time the mercs are trying to stop them. It was EPIC!
Good for basing it on chaos theory also like the co-op but I still wish they had the two team c-op with bots you know in conviction, becuase someone with good eyesight might find you
I believe spies can only melee a merc from the back or from the side. The only time I've seen melee attacks from spies in gameply footage is from the sides.

This is the first multiplayer they did for the original splinter cell 9 years back on the original Xbox. Not redefining multiplayer, but is super fun,
