I miss this game man. It is genuinely the best FPS I have ever played. The atmosphere and graphics are just amazing.
I wish BF 1 and 5 on console had modes without vehicles in non TDM modes so I can play without tanks on every side of me spamming shots in every direction
@@alus992 Yeah, vehicle spam may have been an issue, but the game wouldn't be the same without that pure terror of seeing the 75th Heavy German Tank rolling over the trenches (If they would ever get out of spawn). The only vehicle I would take out is the Mortar Truck, as on certain maps that thing is unstoppable.
If you want a bad experience with no vehicles, look no further than the second battle of the Operations between the Germans and The Americans (The one in the forest, you know what I'm talking about). I'm having bouts of PTSD just thinking about it. I swear, in my days of gameplay, I still have no clue _what_ is the third battle, as the German side has it to easy on dfence, and without vehicles, it's damn near impossible to win as the Americans without 32 Rambos coming in and wiping out the Germans.
My favorite map on Operations (Despite rarely ever playing it) is Sinai Desert. It's actually pretty fun with a good defense, as you get to play Trench Warfare in a game about WW1, something you thing would be more common. Also, Artillery Trucks are useless, as the defense usually as a clear line of sight with the large open sand dunes. LOVE Sinai Desert, and LOVE Battlefield 1

@@thescotslair I've played too mamy games where the enemy just spams artillery trucks and we can't do anything out in the open, but my god, when you see an enemy tank barrel through a wall and open another breach into your objective was pure horror and adrenaline. Seeing your ally tank mow down retreating enemies and then hear the sound of a bomber over head felt so terrifying. I loved this game so much

Now imagine if they did the entire game like the first match, with realistic weapons/rifles... it would have been even more daring than trying WW1 already was and it looks like it would have been brilliant and fun as well.
Back 2 Basics custom mode is all about that, and it’s a blast. Unfortunately, there are never enough playing that mode to fill a lobby, but every now and then it makes the weekly rotation.
Beyond the wire is kinda like that, sadly the game is all but dead

I love BF1’s immersion, the gunshots, the screaming, the sounds of explosions, the music, it all was so immersive. Not to mention the maps looked beautiful and slowly transformed when you fought on them, getting more muddy or broken down. Glad to see you playing it Nano!

There are multiple servers that don't have automatic weapons, you just have standard issue rifles, melee weapons and basic gadgets...they are also often hardcore(200% damage) I really loved those
200% turns too many weapons into 1 hit kills

No HUD, Hardcore, with service rifles was my favorite game mode, especially when they enable sentries and some weapons that were really issued like the Chauchat

Yee, they have weird marketing strategies.. so i have an overkill PC and got a GeForce now code with my RTX 3090, which makes no sense to use for me, yet i cant give it to someone running an older system since the code is bound to my hardware..

This game is probably one of the most immersive experience i ever seen, and yes before the history guys starts saying it's not realistic, ok I get it, but in the end it is a video game, and btw immersion and realism isn't the same thing

As a guy with a shitty Mac, GFN is an absolute lifesaver. I play Arma on it all the time, it’s incredibly smooth connection-wise although the rig definitely struggles in larger MP games, even with the paid Priority.
I mean....its ARMA lol.

I really enjoy the snipers paradise, even tho I’m terrible at aiming, just because it feels more like a actual WW1 game rather than regular servers where not having a automatic means death
Or just git gud. Anything besides super close quarters (automatico and shotguns will dominate) and your fine if you can aim. I usually run mondragon sniper and can challenge everything except super close quarters.
@@unusualbydefault Mondragón sniper is soooo underrated, 3 tap (or 2 with a headshot) with almost no recoil and fires as fast as you can click. Put a 4x on it and pair that with a revolver for ultra close quarters and you can kill just about anything other than cross map snipers.
@@andresgamba1478 fully agree! I love to kill dedicated snipers with it, it's so easy. Even over stupid distances. Only massive disadvantage: anything more than 2 enemies and your fucked, esp if you mess up the 5 round reload. Also, manageable bullet drop and fast bullet velocity. Even if you don't hit, you will surpress enemy snipers, fucking them up. Esp if you religiously mark them. I made a habit of spotting/marking everything I can see and watch how my team starts obliterating my marks while I kill/surpress anything left

I've been using Geforce Now middle tier for about eight months now. My graphics card died and I'm not willing to pay ridiculous prices for a new GPU. I have had issues with compression (I mainly play Hell Let Loose) and not being able to see targets, but other than that it's been a great way to keep playing while waiting for prices to come down.
I wish i had this a couple years ago

THIS is how you do a game that isn't exactly historically acurrated but respects the time period. Not only that, the gameplay is amazing. It's really impressive how they messed up so much with later releases when they achieved something this great.

I am very happy to hear about Nvidia doing the cloud service with a free service, I am not able to buy new games easily or just a service so having that option is cool - I have a huge collection of games already, but being able to expand even more, I’m super happy.
You have to own the game to play it on the nvidia cloud service.. he made it sound like you can just play thousands of games but you actually have to own them first

BF1 is the best BF, everything about it is just perfect, the effort they made with the sound of weapons and the look of the soldiers uniforms is something we may never see again in a BF

battlefield 1 is a 6 year old game, and i must say it aged like fine wine imo, game still very beautiful, and specially more and more players are coming back into the game

How does this game compare to Hell Let Loose? I know it's more casual, but is the immersion comparable? Will the skills translate over? I notice I get better at FPS quicker when I cycle through different games. Also, is the game worth getting into now?
Immersion is great but plays faster then HLL. Don't expect the huge amounts of coordination from HLL but people will toss meds and ammo whenever you need some

I swear this game never got old. Honestly, BFV had a BIG potential to double the success of BF1 but its unfortunately sucked balls with politics and battle royale.
I gotta say, if they made Eastern Front in BFV and went the right path with immersion, I think Stalingrad in flames would be a really good post apocalyptic scenery in the game
