PLEASE NOTE that future trains from Bangkok to Ayutthaya will probably leave from the NEW Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station, Bangkok. This station is next to the Bang Sue MRT station so the difference compared to this video will be to take the MRT to Bang Sue instead of Hua Lamphong when departing. Please check online before you leave. have a nice trip! 😊 Erik
@@erikssc It was a great trip, we started at 7:45 am from Bangkok, took a mini bus from mochit 2 bus station. At Ayutthaya we hired a tuk-tuk for 4 people which costed 1000 baht to cover all the points. It was raining most of the time and the driver arranged umbrellas for us too.. Thanks again for the informative video 😊
Hi, I do not think the Rabbit cards can be used on the MRT as they have different systems. But just ask when you buy a Rabbit card at the ticket counter at the BTS (Skytrain). Remember to bring a photo of your passport.
Sorry, don't remember. I asked my Tuktuk driver to take me to a restaurant that was a bit better than some of the roadside restaurants. So he took me there.
Hi, I might have mis-pronounced it a bit, but here is an explanation from Chat-GPT 😊: In Thai culture, a Chedi is a type of Buddhist structure that resembles a stupa. It is typically a bell-shaped tower used as a place to house relics or to commemorate significant events in Buddhism. Chedis are an integral part of the temple complex and are often found in ancient temple ruins across Thailand, such as in Ayutthaya.
You might have a point that the train now leaves from the new station. The difference will then probably be to take the MRT to Bang Sue station instead of Hua Lampong.
This is very helpful as I plan my visit.. you have so nicely laid the plan.. very easy to follow. Thank you so much.. I am planning to head straight from the airport. Any suggestions how to reach the train station from the airport? Would it be difficult to travel with luggage?
Thanks, remember that the train now leaves from the new train station in Bangkok and not Hua Lamphong. Best way from airport is probably just to take a taxi.
@@creativeclone I don't know the final official name of the new station but it is the one by Ban Sue yes. Best to check online for the exact departure time and place beforehand.
Hi there! They only accepted cash when I was there. No need to tip. You agree on a price before hand. If you want to rent it for the day you agree on a price pr hour. I paid at the end of the day based on how long I had used it.
A good tip is not to ride elephants. Or support something where the animal has to do something for food for the pleasure of tourists or pose with people etc

Hi, are the BTS Rabbit cards accepted in the MRT? First time traveller to Bangkok and Ayutthaya here.

heyyy how do u deal with the bats in Wat Ratchaburana?
Hehe, just leave them alone and they will leave you alone. No problem :)
hiii man,, what is the name of the restaurant u went for lunch at 13:00
Sorry, don't remember. I asked my Tuktuk driver to take me to a restaurant that was a bit better than some of the roadside restaurants. So he took me there.
what time of year did you visit?
This was April, so in the hottest season.
@9:10 what does "jedi" in this context mean ( I get only star wars reffrences).
from cc: "the temple is dominated by a huge Jedi..."

One question, the train to Ayutthaya keeps leaving from Hua Lamphong train station or from the new train station Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal?

hello how much did u pay for the tuk tuk and for how long?
As far as I remember I paid 200 baht pr hour. I think I used him for 4 hours so a total of 800 B.
@@erikssc sir very beautiful video, just a query , is it the whole tuktuk for 200 baht per hour or is it per passenger 200 baht per hour ?
I believe it is for the whole tuktuk, but since I was alone I cannot say for sure if they might charge a little bit more if you are several people.
@@erikssc thank you sir 🙏
What sort of prices do the tuk tuk drivers charge for a tour (sorry if you mentioned it, but if you did, I missed it!)?
I think I mention it in the video, but if not I believe it was around 200B pr hour.
@@erikssc Does it mean that the driver was waiting for you all the time when you were sightseeing?
@@maciek6967 Yes he was.
