Boss 302, 351 Windsor and Cleveland, 350 Chev and 308 Holden even 3 litre BMW's Moffat could get the power to the ground. Who could forget the Cologne Capri or the BDA Escourt that whipped Bob Jane's seven litre Camaro at Calder. Smoothest driver I ever saw.
Just love the way he got 120% from that Boss engined Mustang. Spent numerous freezing Sunday afternoons at Calder watching he duel with Bob Jane whose Camaro had a huge engine capacity advantage. But not through corners or braking!
Regardless of the accent, Moffat is as Australian as anyone could hope to be. A consummate professional.
Curtis Jones and one hell of a bloke too 👍
MARVIN THE MAGNIFICENT!!!
Moffat was our first professional touring car driver... his legacy is something all fans of the category enjoy.
